Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Jenzabar ONE is the primary ERS and SIS for our organization. It is the primary product we use to capture, monitor, and report on student-level data, manage payroll and human resources functions, and manage the prospect-to-alumnus lifecycle. In addition, we use Jenzabar ONE to manage our donor base and create and monitor most aspects the communication flow for those friends.

A significant part of the initial build process rests in the business operations decisions which MUST be made prior to implementing Jenzabar ONE. In hindsight, we still would have gone with Jenzabar ONE, but we probably would have made some changes in how we operate from a business process standpoint prior to making the implementation decision. Having to go back and make changes is both burdensome and made more difficult after the implementation decision.

I currently work in the Office of Student Life & Learning, utilizing the Student Life and Housing modules in my work with students and our conduct process. I was previously in the Registrar's Office, using the Registration, Advising, and Retention modules. Jenzabar ONE provides one system by which all administrative departments on campus can access the same basic student data that may be necessary to their processes, but at the same time have a module unique to the functions and processes of their specific department. This allows for independent office efficiency but also smooth collaboration of shared data as necessary, which allows for increased timeliness and effectiveness in joint projects. I have always been pleased by the intuitive functionality within each system that allows for easy user onboarding, as well as navigation and work within them.

My experience with Jenzabar ONE has been nothing but positive. Even when I had an issue to report, I was met with courtesy and timely assistance from their customer service team. They are focused on end user functionality and their products reflect well the conversations they have with clients to gather feedback.

We've been Jenzabar clients for years and are just now upgrading to J1. As our main SIS, we rely on J1 for all of our student needs, reporting, and processing. We utilize this system to ensure our students have access to the information needed through JICS as well as accurate and timely registration processes.

J1 has great connectiviety between JICS, reporting, and features that students can access. This allows for quick registration processing when many students are trying to process actions at the same time.

We are currently using Jenzabar ONE to support student advising. It easily provides advisors the information needed to support our students. It is easy to use. It would be more helpful if there was more guidance on features available and if students who are not current could also be seen.

We just got a new registrar and she is blown away by Jenzabar ONE. They did not use this at her previous school and she cannot believe all the features that we have.

Jenzabar ONE is a robust student information system. It provides multiple departments with the ability to effectively perform functions across the organization seamlessly. Users are able to maintain information from start to finish without leaving the system. With regular updates and additions to the system, Jenzabar ONE provides our organization with everything we need and then some.

We currently have partially implemented the Advising in Jenzabar ONE. It is so easy to see the advisees, their history, what is needed to complete degree requirements. As long as the trees are set up correctly, degree audits are much simpler. Highly recommend this product and Jenzabar overall. I've worked with this company since 1998.

Degree audits have been such a manual process for so many years. Now you can print out the advising tree showing if the student has met requirements and if not, which courses are still needed at one glance. So timesaving once it is set up correctly. That is the key.

I currently use Jenzabar for assigning rooms, changing room assignments, checking registration status, checking gpas, checking contact information, and putting charges on accounts for disciplinary fines. It has helped me to be more productive because everything is self-explanatory and not difficult to navigate. The modules all work together so if I'm in one and have to go to another, all I have to do is choose "Previous Name" without having to key in the name to look the resident up all over again. This alone saves me lots of time when I have hundreds of residents to work with.

Jenzabar ONE is well suited for registration because it allows departments like Admissions, Financial Aid, Residence Life, Registrar's Office, and the Business Office to work with students rather quickly. Everyone knows what is going on and do not have to keep redoing steps and having to make calls to see if one department has done their part before that department does its part in registering the student.

Jenzabar ONE has been a valued partner for our College. We have transitioned from Jenzabar CX which we had for nearly 21 years. We made the decision to select Jenzabar One as our next generation of SIS/ERP platform in 2020 after conducting interviews with other providers. We found for the quality, features and development roadmap, Jenzabar One was the correct choice. The Jenzabar family has been working with us during the past 24 months to educate us on the Jenzabar One platform and features that will bring a new era of communications for our campus as we better understand how to interact with new and future students. The Jenzabar One value proposition of features to cost made the choice that much easier for our institution to continue our long relationship with the company. The Jenzabar SaaS and managed services team worked tirelessly to ensure our Go Live target of October 2022 was achieved. The Jenzabar project managers and technical professionals were instrumental for coordinating our data migration and helping with our problem-solving during the data conversion. We believe the new era of hosted services help provide better accessibility to our platform while providing security and comfort for data protection and stability. I highly recommend any institution seeking to modernize their SIS/ERP consider Jenzabar One as a solid solution!

Jenzabar ONE is strongly suited for an all-in one solution for higher ed. The modern web-based platform make it efficient for end users. An institution that wants a full communication platform to connect with students, Jenzabar is the right product for your school. As with any product, development with Jenzabar One continues which is a good thing but also may cause some schools to want more features more quickly.

Jenzabar ONE is our SIS. We have many additional software platforms that connect to Jenzabar, sharing information, which can sometimes be challenging. Support is great at helping us work through these issues.

Jenzabar is not meant for large schools. But a smaller school with limited staffing resources, Jenzabar is perfect. Many automated features.

Being an IT team member we are called upon to use Jenzabar One throughout of day. We assign permissions in Desktop as well as J1 Web; solve errors (which are usually user errors) and essentially train staff on how to use the product. With each upgraade we are searching for more ways to assist our staff in using this product and cut down on manual processes.
