Rigidity and Disregard

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Small Business Websites

Pros

  • Ease of use

Cons

  • Clear, upfront communication about the pricing structure and non-refundable nature of subscriptions is crucial. Ensuring customers are fully informed before commitment can prevent misunderstandings and foster trust between Leadpages and its users.
  • Adopting a prorated refund policy for early subscription cancellations can significantly enhance customer satisfaction. This change acknowledges varying customer needs and aligns with industry standards, potentially improving the company's reputation and customer loyalty.
  • Offering more flexibility and understanding in customer support interactions, especially in situations involving financial concerns, can make a substantial difference in customer perceptions. Personalized support and the willingness to consider exceptions can elevate the overall user experience.

Likelihood to Recommend

There are plenty of other services out there that value their customers and understand the importance of flexibility and fairness in today’s competitive landscape. In a world where customer feedback and satisfaction are paramount, from my experience Leadpages' rigid and uncaring approach is a stark warning to stay far far away.

Leadpages makes both great design and accurate analytics easy!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used Leadpages to create opt-in pages for both organic and paid traffic. Conversion rate is important, and Leadpages made it super easy to see what performed best with my audiences. I also used Leadpages to collect payments, making it far easier to combine both lead generation and sales into one platform.

Pros

  • Allows you to create beautiful landing pages with an easy drag-and-drop page builder
  • Allows you to track performance metrics across all of your pages
  • Allows you to collect payments directly within the platform

Cons

  • The payment feature is newer, and could offer more options (such as split payments)
  • I would love to be able to archive old, outdated pages to unclutter my dashboard

Likelihood to Recommend

I would highly recommend Leadpages to anyone who wants to optimize their list building, specifically when using paid strategies so that they can quick and easily track their performance metrics. This is one of my favorite platforms from a design standpoint as well, being a web designer who prioritizes aesthetics and user experience.

Scale Landing Page Production and Free Up Design/Web Developers for High-Value Tasks

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Leadpages was used by the demand generation team as a scalable way to create landing pages. Many different contributors were constantly creating new assets for lead generation campaigns and needed to be able to complete their own landing pages and thank-you/conversion pages without waiting for a designer or web developer to create them. Leadpages offered a way for designers and web developers to create templates and reusable components so that contributors could have autonomy while maintaining consistency.

Pros

  • Leadpages has an easy-to-use inteface. Page-building elements are drag and drop, similar to some versions of Wordpress, so it's pretty easy for a newbie to pick up with little training.
  • Leadpages makes it easy to embed multimedia with simply an embed code. You don't have to know HTML to bring your pages to life with video, audio, etc.

Cons

  • While most of the editing functions are easy to figure out, some of the finer details to get spacing, sizing, alignment and layout just right can take some trial and error if you don't have formal training in the tool. A lot of the editing tools are collapsed into sections, and finding just what you're looking for can sometimes be a challenge.
  • I don't believe the version we used had a page optimizer or optimization score, which I have seen on other landing page builders. This may be a feature of a more premium version of the tool or may have been turned off by the product manager, but it would be a helpful feature.

Likelihood to Recommend

Leadpages is great for a marketing team that has a high volume of landing page needs. It is great for deputizing contributors and allowing them to take ownership of their campaigns without sacrificing consistency. Leadpages is also a good starting point for simplistic page building for someone who doesn't have web development skills. It is not ideal, however, if there is no one to manage the design guidelines. It can open a can of worms, so to speak, by giving users a lot of freedom to manipulate design, so if it is being used by multiple people and brand consistency is a concern, it's best to have someone familiar with brand standards create templates so that other users don't break standards.

If I Could Only Afford 1 Software, Leadpages Would Be It!

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have been using Leadpages in my real estate business for 7 years. For several industries, I have used Leadpages to build the front part of lead funnels. Leadpages software is for building landing pages and squeeze pages with the benefit of securing lead registration information and pushing the leads to just about anywhere you need the leads to go.

Pros

  • Leadpages gives hundreds of landing page templates with the option to modify using the easy-to-use "drag and drop" editor.
  • I used Leadpages to win a $20,000 lead generation contest among 100,000 other competitors. Leadpages is better than the competition because #1 the pages re-size automatically depending on the screen size of the website/landing page visitor #2 pages load really fast #3 the "Pro" pricing level includes text code opt-ins that can be very effective for gaining leads that include a phone number and email address.
  • Very recently, Leadpages made their software compatible with the Zapier.com platform to help integrate lead push functions to hundreds of additional software programs.

Cons

  • I would like to see more native integrations for software like Zoom, Calendly, and BombBomb even though these integrations are available with a subscription to a 3rd party software platform called Zapier.com. Native integrations tend to have more functionality.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are speaking to a live audience and want to get the phone number and email address of audience member, using Leadpages's feature called Leaddigits, you could announce that anyone that wants a copy of speaker notes, a free video, etc. to text the word CONVERT to 33444 from a mobile phone. Using this type of Leadpages technology I have averaged upwards of a 50% live audience registration rate. For best results, also add your text code call-to-action on presentation slide(s).

If you wish you could improve or customize your website but lack programming skills, Leadpages may be a good software for you. If you need to fill the niche of custom pages, opt-in pages, registration pages separate from your current website, or if you need embeddable forms and a top banner "alert bar" to be added to your current website, Leadpages can fufill the need.

If you are severely technology challenged you may have difficulty becoming proficient at Leadpages. Make sure you have someone in your company that can actually implement the awesome features of Leadpages when you purchase it or signup on the month-to-month plan while you are testing it.

Drag and start, but consider alternatives before.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used and I use Leadpages to create landing pages to gather subscribers from various sources. Works great for ad campaigns and organic traffic wherever I left a link leading to bonuses on my website. When I wanted to test a funnel quickly I just used one of their templates to set up a page and I know its been tested well for conversion.

Pros

  • You can very quickly set up a conversion tested landing page to gather leads.
  • The template marketplace has great variety of ready to go landing and sales pages as well as pop up boxes.
  • They have a lot of resources that teach you about marketing and funnels.

Cons

  • The monthly payments are painful in the long run. Recently alternative solutions surfaced which have one time payments. Leadpages is good for quick testing, but long term it take from the profits.
  • I haven't seen new features for a good while.

Likelihood to Recommend

Leadpages is good if you want to get an email address from someone visiting your site, or to create a page with a bonus you want to send to your visitor. I use it to exchange various bonuses for emails addresses and then I send sequences of e-mails and offers. It does not work however if you want to create a full website, you could create with it a page or two, but it is not useful if you want to add anything more or have more freedom of editing. Most of the creative process is for one page with drag and drop tools.

Why Leadpages is all that and a Bag of Chips!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Leadpages is being used to grow our audiences, collect email followers and get leads for sales. It is used across all platforms of our organization as there are many ways this can be used to capture data. It addresses all kinds of issues, like... is anyone interested in a class about yoga online, like one of our clients was curious about. Or, answering direct questions like How do I find and capture emails for people who need to fix their credit. Basically, any question you have, you can find followers that have the same needs.

Pros

  • Leadpage captures emails of potential clients that are looking for a particular product or offer you have.
  • Leadpages makes direct sales for particular offers or products you offer.
  • Leadpages can even set up potential viewers for online podcasts, teaching classes, tutorials and more.

Cons

  • Leadpages is not super easy to learn for people that are not internet savvy.
  • Leadpages has a trial, but it should be double what they offer to allow for the learning curve of those that have limited time per day to learn it.
  • Leadpages should offer more video tutorials or even have influencers out there that will help with particular issues.

Likelihood to Recommend

One of my clients is an online Yoga Teacher, when she first started she struggled with getting clients. Once I sat her down and told her that we need to make several videos with clips of what she is doing and even one that she can do a Q&A with, she was challenged. She immediately saw a turn up to her online events and was encouraged to continue pursuing her dreams. In another scenario, I had a client that was selling online coaching and was having a hard time getting paying clients as his niche was abused women. We all know, most abused women are controlled by their men and have very little money. I showed him the value of what he does and how not to settle, so in this case, he did online videos that spelled out what he does and if they were interested they could go from there. It even collected deposits, so he did not have to waste his time trying to talk people into it anymore.

A Must Have Tool For Small Business Owners

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Leadpages is a must have tool for landing pages, ad campaigns, and simple product specific pages where you need built-in forms, data tracking, and multi-platform integrations with Zapier. I've been using this simple tool for nearly two years and have built countless professional grade landing pages that generate nearly 70% of our lead flow.

Pros

  • Responsive drag & drop webpage editor, great looking out of the box templates, and the ability to code your template from scratch.
  • Training courses and countless resources to make sure you're getting the most out of this powerful tool.
  • Excellent customer support services.
  • Direct automation with Drip, Mailchimp, Infusionsoft, and a ton of other apps through Zapier.

Cons

  • Built-in contact form could have a follow-up email trigger process, however, it's easily done by creating triggers within Zapier.
  • A built-in simple image editor would be a nice feature to add
  • Pricing could be a bit more aggressive for the Pro plan however the ability to connect 3 domains is well worth it in the long run.

Likelihood to Recommend

I love Leadpages and am very happy with them all around, simple platform, powerful tools, and eye-popping end results. I'm also happy that Leadpages works across all the major browsers and provides the same consistent look across them as well. I would recommend this to any small business owner looking for a simple & consistent tool that saves time and makes money.

Leadpages is a great beginner landing page builder!

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Leadpages has been extremely helpful for us because we need to create landing pages in an array of industries. Leadpages has a great library of templates that help us rapidly make landing pages for our clients. We even use them for our own lead generation campaigns when we run PPC and Facebook lead gen ads.

Pros

  • The mobile responsiveness is incredible.
  • All the landing pages look modern.
  • The Calendly integration is a huge plus.

Cons

  • We wish we had more option for customizing the lead magnet delivery email.
  • We wish the library was constantly updated with more templates.
  • We wish there were more options for lead magnets instead of just a file upload.

Likelihood to Recommend

Leadpages is perfect for a dentist or local service lead generation campaign. They have the perfect templates for those, and getting them up and designed to suit your branding is quick.

Leadpages is something I would not recommend for e-commerce or selling a product.

Leadpages - Fantastic!

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Leadpages is fantastic! It works well for those who do not have the luxury of an in-house dev team to create and optimize landing pages continuously. For example, using Marketo, you are given two options. Pre-built landing pages that are rarely fulling optimized for SEO, Mobile, etc, and lack consistency with your brand elements. Or, you are given the option of custom coding free-form landing pages that requires programming knowledge and a fair amount of time. The landing page designs are also fairly limited. So, Leadpages gives you the option of using a drag and drop WYSIWYG editor that eliminates the two downfalls of Marketo--time and editing skills.

We primarily use lead pages for quick lead-gen initiatives like webinars, new content releases (whitepapers, sell sheets, etc) as our own site is more of a brochure site with limited optimized for conversion landing pages. Our marketing team also uses lead pages to generate landing pages.

Pros

  • Editing
  • Forms
  • Integration with other Marketing Tools

Cons

  • Price
  • Integrations (third-party)
  • Customer Care

Likelihood to Recommend

Best suited for those without dev. teams, smaller marketing teams that wear "many hats", limited budgets for micro-sites.
