If you're in front of an audience and want to capture their overall feelings about a subject, it's easy to share a QR-code and let the people join in the discussion. As the results are presented live, you can then reflect together and interpret the results to create even more interactivity with the audience.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I operate monthly sales training meeting from our home office with our 6 satellite offices and use Mentimeter as a sales training tool. The contest aspect makes it a fun way for sales executives to win prizes and learn new product information at once. The response to the new information, as well as product knowledge retention has vastly improved.

Pros

  • The autosave feature
  • Crisp, fun on screen graphics
  • Easy to learn in under an hour

Cons

  • Instructions are somewhat vague in operating the presenter mode
  • More contest templates to choose from

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are looking to inject some competition in your presentations, Mentimeter is an excellent option. I use the multiple choice quiz template to introduce new information to our sales team, as well as review information that we have gone over in our previous sales meetings. Our participants use the mobile log in while we are video conferencing and it is a fairly seamless process.

Menti Keeps Us Engaged

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have used it as an interactive platform during workshops in which we were building a research landscape. This was a virtual event and allowed everyone to keep engaged by participating and sharing their answers anonymously.

Pros

  • Word clouds.
  • Allows people to be anonymous.
  • Captures all the feedback and allows you to download it.

Cons

  • The design aspect is lacking a bit in my opinion.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is a great way to keep people engaged when hosting virtual events. Several times we have used Mentimeter to see where people are in the understanding of certain topics. Because it's anonymous, people tend to actually participate and give honest answers which are always helpful for us to adjust how we're approaching and providing information.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It was being used during live presentations. It was used in a setting to gain knowledge of the audience that use the software presented in the live session. It is a straightforward question poll to gauge who the audience are to get a feel for the group.

Pros

  • It was very easy to use.
  • It provides an interactive way to engage the audience.
  • The poll can be customized to have all sorts of graphics to cater to a specific, targeted audience.

Cons

  • It asks the audience to follow the on-screen instructions to submit their poll responses--this can be challenging for a less tech-savvy audience.
  • I heard comments that some audience members had issues connecting to complete the poll, so there is room for improvement.

Likelihood to Recommend

For the most part, I think Mentimeter can be used on all sorts of occasions to get responses. It is so easy to use and it sparks interests within the audience because you are asking them to follow along, which encourages engagement. I can hardly think of any scenario that is not appropriate. If you want to get real-time feedback from the group so the data/result can be shared right in front of them, Mentimeter does a great job as a tool.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Mentimeter is widely used across different departments for various engagement purposes during webinars, seminars, team meetings etc., In today's pandemic scenario, online meets are intensively used throughout the companies and so there are strong needs for use of software/web applications for engagement purposes. Mentimeter solves the problem for long tired one-way meetings by providing tools to engage the audience in a proactive manner. It also helps presenter to come up with an interactive presentation in a noticeably brief time.

Pros

  • Engagement of the users by giving them a real time space to give their input.
  • Fast & Easy Interface to create quizzes, slides and polls.
  • Simplicity for presenter as well as for users.
  • Follow-up sessions based on user inputs and a room for real time analysis.

Cons

  • User Interface (of Quiz, Poll etc.,) should have more designs for free version.
  • Time based quiz and polls would be a plus. [ Engagement Scheduling]
  • Partial marking and time-based marking could be added in a quiz.
  • Extensions to add the engagement in PDF and Word files could also be an addition to its functionality.

Likelihood to Recommend

Mentimeter is very useful for continuous engagements and follow ups during webinars, seminars, team meetings, online classes and surveys. Even during offfline conferences it could be well suited for increasing the interactivity.

However, it could be less effective when the audience size is too small like a group meeting or video conferencing with friends and family.

Mentimeter is a easy way to get everyone to collaborate

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We often use Mentimeter when we want to have everyone's (or at least almost everyone's) opinion during a meeting and some people can have difficulties talking or exposing his ideas due to a number of factors (doesn't do well speaking, can't speak due to others speaking or interrupting, huge number of people in meetings). For us it is a good tool to make everyone participate, not only the one who can speak the loudest.

Pros

  • Can gather everyone's opinion in a couple minutes
  • Smartphone/tablet friendly

Cons

  • As much as we use Menti, for us there's no room for improvement. It works in its current status.

Likelihood to Recommend

Most apropriate: meetings and seminars where we need the most inputs from the team, and we can't take turns speaking because this would take way more time.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Mentimeter is used across the entire organization to run live polls, quizzes, and questions during virtual calls with multiple members. Its ability to show real time analysis of the polls or quizzes helps the audience view the result instantly and makes it interactive. it is used to as part of training sessions, virtual quizzes or to capture audience responses in general.

Pros

  • To show real time results during poll
  • interactive graphs and visualizations
  • Ability to create word clouds

Cons

  • Nothing as such but at times the app takes time to load

Likelihood to Recommend

Mentimeter is great when you want to launch a poll question and show the audience the live result. Also in case of an open text question, the wordcloud works best as when audience types a word, it keeps getting added and displayed on screen. For words answered more, the size increases making the audience easily understand what majority have responded.

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Mentimeter almost daily. We are a corporate training company and since most of our workshops are delivered virtually now, we have [implemented] the use of Mentimeter even further. We used to implement it with our face to face programs, but now that we have to interact from a computer, Mentimeter is one of our best tools.

Pros

  • Lets audience interact
  • Easy to access
  • Fast and reliable

Cons

  • More question types
  • The name is not very appropriate in Spanish, sounds like "mentir" which is "to lie".
  • More customization

Likelihood to Recommend

Mentimeter is great for interacting with audiences in different scenarios: Training sessions, team building exercises, regular meetings or strategic planning. It's great for big audiences when you can't let them participate one on one, but using Mentimeter, they are able to express what they think. It's great for anonymous participation.
