If it's not on monday.com, it doesn't exist!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a solar company and we have 30+ employees. We use monday.com everyday and it is an amazing CRM. Solar is a complex business with lots of moving parts. There are many phases to solar so we need to address every step and we can manage the entire project from start to finish with monday.com. We can track everyone and all employees are trained to deal with the progress of every customer on monday.com. We have a running "joke" at the company, "if it isn't on Monday, it doesn't exist." A good marketing slogan for your business!

Pros

  • Helps keep track of customers and projects
  • It's easy to use
  • We are an international company so we feel like we are a "family" on monday.com

Cons

  • I don't really have anything to offer. I don't have a complaint....

Likelihood to Recommend

I think monday.com is an amazing tool. We have many departments and we have defined them on monday so any employee can jump from one division to another... From an update for and HOA to a new roof, or electrical problem to Permitting. We have an active list of customers and a list for completed projects. We have a section just for Project Managers, one for each department so we can communicate and tag those who need to address a specific issue. I can't speak more highly about it. We started off with another CRM but it doesn't compare to monday.com.

Easy to use and flexible.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We primarily use Monday to project manage approximately 1000 projects at any one time. These include Consultancy, Programmes and Events, Member Benefits, and Product Development. The ease of use has helped us implement these into teams very rapidly. The easy integration with other systems has also helped us to control processes such as issuing Fellowships and monitoring Member renewals. We also run much of our month-end and forecasting processes from Financial DBs created using the Monday API.

Pros

  • Project Management.
  • Automating Tasks.
  • Communication
  • Single Point of Truth.

Cons

  • Speed of system.
  • Number of boards in Portfolio.
  • Automation triggered of other types of columns.

Likelihood to Recommend

User-friendly and flexible.

Best work management system I have seen.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Monday for a variety of things: project management, task management, overviews, team collaboration, and the implementation of processes in hands-on workflows. It enables us to have all our work in one place, communicate effectively, and track status and progress. Many of us also use it for managing our personal to-do lists. My favorite implemented process is from customer request intake, via commercial clarification, through to scheduling their consultation.

Pros

  • User friendliness.
  • Flexibility
  • Reliability

Cons

  • Flexible user licensing, I e. Putting only some teams on enterprise while the remainder stay on pro.

Likelihood to Recommend

Achieving clarity and clear ownership of tasks. Project management.

Monday for everyone.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Monday for project management, which helps us in correctly managing projects, ensuring communications between departments, and having on-time updates. The software is also helping us in assigning people to single tasks so as to provide the board with visibility to the owner of the activity and the timelines provided. It’s also very powerful in the demand project management, through the capacity allocation provided by Monday, helping us understand when a department is under stress due to many activities planned.

Pros

  • Project management.
  • Automations.
  • Boards

Cons

  • Sub item missing.
  • Conditional formatting of columns.
  • Reports.

Likelihood to Recommend

Monday is very helpful in management projects, assigning people to tasks, and managing timelines. The graphics are perfect and very user-friendly, very customizable but at the same time modular. The very strong part is that it can be adapted from many different industries and departments. The user curve is very fast.

We use dashboards, collect forms & process them, issue and action log, risk register, question or decision log, UAT tracking, portfolio management, project hub, template creation, checklists. We also use it to capture retrospective, lessons learned, budget tracking, stakeholder management. The UI looks good as well as automation

Pros

  • Risk registering
  • Feedback forms
  • Dashboards
  • Decision logging

Cons

  • Unlicensed users having more permissions to edit shared items
  • Collaboration with external users
  • Undo button

Likelihood to Recommend

Project management > collecting feedbacks, creating forms & templates, creating decision and question logs, lessons learned log, risk registers, dashboards and checklists, task management and creating charts from them, visibility to all stakeholders, portfolio management. Automation for receiving reminders. The user interface looks really nice. Where you can see other dashboards all in one

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We needed a solution to connect our purchasing department with our design department. This has expanded to other departments, and it works very well. Working across departments with all information in one place and all communication in one place is precisely what we needed to create a good foundation for the work.

Pros

  • Mirrored board.
  • Automations.
  • Intuitive working.

Cons

  • Giving priority to developing the asked features.

Likelihood to Recommend

It works so well, it’s easy to understand, and there are lots of ways to learn.

Changing the Way We Work

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

monday.com is an essential tool to the way we function. Many of our previous Excel functions have been brought into monday.com to become automated and allow for extension of processes.

Pros

  • Automation
  • Workflows and automations
  • Permissions

Cons

  • Development of triggers
  • additional defined permissions
  • programming features

Likelihood to Recommend

Almost anything in Excel can be bright over, except those that are extremely formula based. Anything survey based. Anything that pulls information from form input and data analytics/charts

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use monday.com for managing a large amount of tasks and projects from clients. The product helps us with priority, efficiency, organisation etc

Pros

  • Task boards
  • Dashboards
  • Docs
  • Reporting

Cons

  • Recurring tasks
  • Checking resource availability for team members so you can assign more work, current system isn’t ideal
  • Better tools for project managers to hold people accountable

Likelihood to Recommend

For overall task management and projects. I think it’s less appropriate for recurring projects or tasks as the automations are limited compared to clickup

monday.com Transition Journey

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We primarily use this as a PPM tool to manage and track our portfolio of projects. It provides a single pane of glass in which to see information for all initiatives as well supporting the intake and demand process for upcoming projects. Dashboards support our governance meetings and also provide custom views for different stakeholders.

Pros

  • Clean and intuitive user interface
  • supports processes with workflows and forms
  • Portfolio overview and metrics

Cons

  • Multi level tasks should auto roll up of timelines and statuses in the same column
  • Resource planning baked into the schedule sheet
  • Resource directory linked to a board for easier updating and mass changes

Likelihood to Recommend

For organisations setting up a brand new PMO and trying to make sense of an existing but convoluted set of projects and work already in progress. Also good for setting up of resourcing and vendor management boards with multiple entry points e.g. direct in boards or via forms. Perfect for startups because it covers all areas of work management with other products under the monday.com banner.

My experience with monday.com

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use monday to manage both the project delivery side and the CRM side — handling new leads and opportunities — as well as the service ticketing system for one of our own apps. As a company that started small and gradually grew, we had to structure many processes along the way, and monday, with its scalability, has helped us create workflows tailored to the needs of each growing team. Today, meetings are very few because everyone is up to date and has the ability to monitor capacity, progress, and task assignments.

Pros

  • Tracking activities and progresses
  • workload management
  • pipeline and leads management

Cons

  • The platform should be more reliable and reduce downtime
  • Automations on formulas
  • AI capabilities such as extract information from a document

Likelihood to Recommend

For resource management, projects, CRM, and pipeline tracking, it’s definitely well-suited for SMBs. However, it starts to become difficult to manage — especially on the CRM side — as numbers grow for large enterprise users, due to system limitations. For example limited lead amount per board and/or limited projects connected to one dashboard.
