MuleSoft Anypoint Platform- A robust low-code platform with AI capabilities
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Pros
- Integration with Web Methods, Mainframe platforms along with Salesforce Agent force was done flawlessly.
- We have a use case where onboarding of new lead generation happens on daily bases where sometimes we gets leads over a million to few thousands; MuleSoft Auto scaling handles this scenario so well without overburdening other API's and saves huge amount of billing by consuming only what is needed.
- We have implemented encryption of our PII data as per GDPR policies. We compared data load from small to large scale with encrypting and decrypting our PII data for CRUD operations and the overall performance was astonishing compared to other API tools
- We onboarded other Data and API developers for MuleSoft Anypoint Platform development and resources were ready within a week with minimal observations. Even AI integration for code generation was performaing so well with AI agent guidelines that we saved huge development hours which benefitted us to look after business scenarios
Cons
- Auto-generation of MUnit test case in Visual Studio Code Plug-in (Anypoint Code Builder) needs some improvement as its not at par with Anypoint Studio yet.
- I have observed that few teams are still on Java runtime 8 due to business contigency which even my team faced and as support was over it became impossible for us to deploy change with Java 1.8 and MuleSoft Runtime 4.4. We should have some additional chargeable solution even after sunset/support ends
- We are expecting some additional improvement in MUnit test flow generation and logging with complex sub-flows references.
Return on Investment
- Licensing cost is still costly for small businesses
- In case of additional vCore purchases, we feel that we are forced to get extra vCores due to the licensing plans
- MuleSoft Vibe is fitting so well in our business use case and the automated code generation is working perfectly which is saving our billing cost for other AI tools.
- Auto scaling and alerts are helping a lot and getting the right attention what needed in case of downtime.
- We have a CloudHub 2.0, and on-prem API's and even with such hybrid combinations we do not see and lagging in our responses and large batch processing
