Currently we are doing assessment on NGINX Plus for our centralise APIGW it acts as a single entry point for applications or system, making it easier to manage traffic, enforce policies, and improve scalability and reliability of backend service.

Likelihood to Recommend

Currently from what we have experience there is limited UI for APIGW. I would suggestion F5 to look into Products such as APIGEE, Kong to learn about their UI

Our Tier 1 applications are all behind NGINX Plus - this includes Jira, Confluence, ADmanager, etc. It's been a great tool for access, speed and security wise. We first used Nginx and moved to NGINX Plus 3 years ago in order to get Support as well as the built in modules or advanced load balancing.

Makes our life easy as application admins in securing our applications and making them accessible. We can easily add an application within a few minutes and define the backend servers right away.

I think that NGINX Plus could be used in place of a hardware load balancer and it would be light weight and easier to configure than a hardware based load balancer but in terms of usability a GUI for said load balancer would definitely help in setting up

We are Using NGINX Plus for applications load balance, application performances. Most use cases are HTTP/s load balancing and TCP load balancing. We are satisfied with the product as of now. We are expanding our use cases with Nginx Plus by using NGINX Plus as a CDN. That is one of the main reason I am on this App World event. I found an event helpful and get familiar with F5 other product. Thanks!

NGINX Plus is used for reverse proxy and SSL termination workloads across the enterprise. The scope of this use covers hundreds of applications in multiple data centers and multiple cloud providers.

Active health checks along with the API and dashboard make NGINX Plus a no-brainer.
