Business Problems Solved

Users have praised the platform for its ability to create and customize proposal templates quickly and accurately, resulting in significant time savings and improved proposal quality. The sales department, in particular, has found Proposify beneficial for delivering dynamic proposals and creative decks to customers, even in remote settings. Collaboration on proposals is made easy with Proposify's features, allowing for easy tracking of progress and providing a centralized dashboard for uniformity and progress monitoring.

Proposify's versatility extends beyond traditional proposals, as it is also used for various agreements and contracts such as independent contractor agreements, NDAs, project agreements, and project contracts. These documents can be created with professional-looking templates that are customizable to each user's specific needs. Additionally, Proposify enables the hosting of videos directly within proposals, enhancing the presentation of ideas.

Small businesses have recognized the value of Proposify in creating customized proposals quickly and accurately tracking their pipeline. By replacing chaotic systems of creating and tracking proposals, Proposify offers a library of reusable information snippets and streamlines the approval process. The software has become an integral part of business development teams' workflow, facilitating the drafting, revision, and finalization of statements of work with clients. It also assists in tracking project scope, compensation details, and deliverable timings.

Web design agencies have found Proposify particularly useful for sending proposals and contracts to clients. They can start from saved templates and make adjustments as needed to meet specific client requirements. The software allows for visually appealing proposals that track views and interactions while facilitating online signing.

Proposify also caters to companies aiming to present services clearly with a professional layout that eliminates misunderstandings and improves the chances of securing new business. Its pre-designed templates cover different industries and combine marketing plans with legal documents into all-in-one documents. While users have reported positive experiences with Proposify, some challenges have arisen. Occasionally, fitting all content on each page has proven difficult, and glitches have been encountered. However, loyal customers have remained with the company for years, demonstrating their commitment despite these issues. One area where users have expressed frustration is the limited window of only 5 days to download and archive proposals after the agreement ends. This policy has been perceived as a waste of time and an inconvenience for users.

Users have also utilized Proposify to build various marketing materials and business collateral. The software's real-time updates have been highly appreciated, allowing users to see changes immediately and collaborate more effectively. Despite its strengths, some challenges have been reported by users. For instance, fitting all the content on each page can be difficult at times, leading to occasional formatting issues. Additionally, a few users have encountered glitches while using the platform.

One point of contention among users is the company's policy of only allowing a 5-day window to download and archive proposals after the agreement ends. This limited timeframe has been viewed as a waste of time and an inconvenience for users who prefer to store their proposals for longer periods.

Overall, Proposify has demonstrated its value across industries and departments. From creating customized proposals quickly to tracking progress and facilitating collaboration, the software has become an essential tool for businesses of all sizes. While there may be some areas for improvement, users appreciate the professional experience it offers recipients and the time-saving benefits it provides in the proposal creation process.

Proposify does one thing very well: Proposals

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Proposify for client contracts and project proposals. Proposify makes it easy to implement, and the experience for the person receiving it is very professional. It's easy for them to sign and makes a strong impression. On the back end, it makes tracking proposals easy for us. The whole system is well thought out and easy to use.

Pros

  • creating proposals
  • sending proposals
  • signing proposals

Cons

  • The edit interface when creating proposals or templates has improved over the years but still has room for improvement. It could be more intuitive.

Likelihood to Recommend

We use proposals for client contracts. They are several pages long with a lot of legalese. We also use them for NDA contracts with clients. Mainly we use Proposify for client project proposals. The proposals include description, main project points, price, timing, scope, process, cost, and everything the client can expect. I like that we were able to design a custom cover for our proposals. Proposify does one thing very well and that is proposals. I like that it doesn't try to be everything.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Proposify for all of our pitches and quotes. We have templates set up for different sectors and clients so it’s quite easy to customize our pitches across the company whilst still keeping everything on brand and looking professional. We’re a video production agency, so being able to host videos directly in the proposals is also useful.

Pros

  • Templates
  • Video hosting.
  • Signing documents.
  • Analystics

Cons

  • The document design system.
  • Tables within documents.
  • Crashes

Likelihood to Recommend

It’s great for what it’s designed for, pitching. Where it falls down slightly is in the design aspects, if the document-building side of the process was better it was the perfect pitching platform.

Proposify is not good for businesses who plan on creating lots of proposals. Huge Liability - Stay Away.

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our company used Proposify for creating proposals for years - at least 4 years, but I believe since they opened. We send out many proposals like most companies do. How is it that when we decide to change platforms they force us to manually download each proposal and all of our Client data, one client and one proposal at a time? That's absolutely ridiculous! We are allowed to bulk delete records, but they can't build in a feature to allow previous clients the option to bulk download. Here's where it gets really frustrating: They immediately delete everything the moment your agreement is up. That gives us, in this particular case ONLY 5 DAYS to download hundreds of proposals and archive them ourselves. Such a huge waste of time and a completely petty and spoiled way to act as a company. They lost any hope of us coming back, ever. I would rather snail mail agreements at this point with how frustrated I am with Proposify. Proposify is not a good option. We stayed with them for years while they worked out bug after bug - we were loyal and complained very little if at all.

Cons

  • The Platform Has No Bulk Export - This is Major Issue
  • The Platform Is Buggy and Difficult
  • Support Is Unhelpful and Unconcerned
  • They Immediately Delete All Data Upon Cancellation

Likelihood to Recommend

They force users to manually download each proposal and manually transfer customer data: one client and one proposal at a time. That's absolutely ridiculous! They also immediately delete everything the moment your agreement is up. That gives people almost no time to download hundreds of proposals and archive vital legal agreements - that should be illegal. Do not trust this company with your information. I also suspect anyone who works there can read your proposals, making security a big concern.

If you want a professional solution for document generation, Proposify is not it! I hope this review reaches at least one forward-thinking business owner who can avoid the massive frustration caused by not having the option to export our data in bulk. Never will use them again.

Build great looking Proposals quickly

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Proposify is a great tool to create custom proposals that look nice for the client and are easy to create from the user's perspective. This will definitely move you away from the same old contracts and proposals! If you are creating proposals from scratch, get Proposify and you will be amazed!

Pros

  • Visual proposals made simple
  • Integration into CRM

Cons

  • Integration into Salesforce CPQ was lacking

Likelihood to Recommend

Proposify is a great tool for a company with a standard proposal or contract that they are using in a pdf or word format right now. In that scenario, Proposify will increase your visual factor and brand awareness.

We ran into issues using Proposify with our Salesforce CPQ contracts and ultimately had to bypass it because of that. When we prepare a contract/proposal outside of CPQ it is still an awesome tool.

Empower Your Proposals With The Use of Templates and Tracking

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Proposify is currently being used by all of our team's Media Project Managers to galvanize and standardize our sending of estimates to potential clients. It makes it easy for our remote team to have uniformity across the various estimates we use, and allows us to track the progress of each estimate from a centralized dashboard.

Pros

  • TEMPLATES: The ability to work from customizable yet standardized templates allow for a consistent end-user experience for our clients, and elevates the perceived professionalism of our sales team.
  • ANALYTICS: Unlike merely sending estimates or proposals via email, the tracking analytics available within Proposify's dashboard not only enables our project managers to more strategically engage with clients, but also gives our upper management an objective way to track the effectiveness of our sales team.
  • EASE-OF-USE: Overall, Proposify's platform is easy to use and the UX is intuitive enough that the learning curve to use it is minimal.

Cons

  • CUSTOMIZATION ADDITIONS: While there are lots of customization options available, there is still plenty of room for additional integrations and customization options to be added.
  • GLITCHY CONTROLS: While the user interface of Proposify's design feature is fairly intuitive, some of the controls are prone to be glitchy, often requiring a refresh of the page or other clunky work-arounds.
  • PRICING FLEXIBILITY: In addition to the standard three package options, I would like an "a la carte" option that would allow me to adjust the base price depending of which features I would like to add/remove.

Likelihood to Recommend

Proposify is well-suited for sales teams that find it important to have consistency across proposals, while still allowing for some slight customization from user to user. Plus, with the addition of tracking and success analytics, it provides a powerful dashboard for upper management to gauge the effectiveness of overall tactics of the sales team.

Proposify helps you look creative and saves time

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Proposify to house various templates and product/service snippets to create proposals for our company. The sales department uses this tool to assist in delivering dynamic proposals and creative decks to customers. Even before COVID-19, we found it helpful and time-saving to quickly create proposals that we could show to a client via a video meeting. More so, the ability to quickly change assets is a plus, once learned how to.

Pros

  • UX UI
  • Move templates and assets in/out of a proposal
  • Manage directories to store assets

Cons

  • UI has some bugs in creating proposals
  • Up-front billing and removal of team members
  • Compression of proposals for export

Likelihood to Recommend

It is costly to properly set up Proposify and retain its use ongoing. If you have a plan to implement your proposals you can get some good cost-saving use from it. I cannot stress enough to have your assets, graphics, and snippets ready before you start. I also recommend that you fully understand templates and asset library or you will quickly be overwriting templates and themes with client-specific verbiage.

  • Organization

Proposify is great if your proposals are straightforward and don’t require a lot of back and forth edits

Rating: 5 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization used Proposify for customer facing documents, namely software and services proposals for current clients as well as prospects and reseller partners. <div>

</div><div>These proposals were software and professional services proposals and we also looked at incorporating SOW’s as well as contracts (MSSA’s and Order Forms) in Proposify for review and signature by the recipients.</div>

Pros

  • Looks very good to clients.
  • Tracks when clients are viewing proposals (for how long and what pages/parts of the proposal).
  • Integrates pretty well with SFDC.
  • Presentation mode is simple and useful.

Cons

  • Export into Word would be useful
  • SFDC integration sometimes doesn’t seem to search/find contacts/opps perfectly
  • Some of controls (editing proposals and templates) could be more clear/intuitive
  • Difficult for businesses where redlined contracts/proposals may find this software does not support client/vendor collaboration

Likelihood to Recommend

Proposify is great to provide a clean, elegant proposal for clients to review and sign. If your proposals are delivered via email and you need to be able to track clicks, views and other metrics, this tool is very valuable. <div>

</div><div>If the proposal process is more complex and their are substantial edits back and forth between the two parties, Word or Acrobat would be better than Proposify. I feel that it is best for simple, “read and sign” transactions. </div>

Proposify Has Simplified the Proposal Process and Increased Acceptance Rate

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Proposify in both departments--the marketing department and the web development department. In the past we were creating all proposals in Word, using templates that we had created. Proposify allows us to create really good-looking proposals and see when they're viewed, how often they're viewed, etc. It's also easy to add variables like client name. And the signing can happen easily and online.

Pros

  • Great designs
  • View tracking
  • Immediate signing

Cons

  • Some of the formatting options aren't completely intuitive, especially with regards to images.

Likelihood to Recommend

Proposify is great for pretty much any kind of proposal, as far as I can tell. It allows for retainer-type work, one-time contracts, and a mix of both, which is perfect for my department. It also allows you to create discounts, which we do for nonprofit organizations so they can see what they'd normally pay.

Easy to use templates for proposals and marketing documents

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Proposify is used by my company for creating detailed proposals and contracts. It allows us to create an all-in-one document to show to potential clients who we want to give a marketing plan as well as a legal document. Proposify has templates for different industries which allows you to have the legal jargon in place so you do not have to worry about it yourself. Of course, have your own lawyer look over things.

Pros

  • Pre-made proposal and contract templates for different industries.
  • Easy to insert custom branding so your documents stand out.
  • You are able to sign the document via your computer so you don't have to worry about faxing or printing out documents.

Cons

  • Inside of the templates can be finicky. It's easy to get the document unaligned.
  • Making the document a bit more user-friendly when creating it. The interface feels a bit out of date when designing it.
  • Pricing is high.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are a business that often sends out proposals and other marketing documents that need online signatures then it doesn't get much easier than Proposify. I wouldn't pay for it if I didn't send out contracts monthly.
