Schneider Electric acquired EcoStruxure fairly recently in October 2020. Schneider Electric is a business software company known for offering solutions for energy efficiency and automation.
Some important benefits of their products include global visibility for your network of devices, monitoring, predictive security insights, and simple implementation for your team. Monitoring data and problems is the main function of their IT management software and services. Use cases are proactive cybersecurity, energy management, future development, and sustainability for your data.

How Much Does EcoStruxure Cost?
EcoStruxure’s IT business solutions are split up into software and services. All options are priced annually. The software packages are purchased per year.

IT Expert has an extensive, customizable dashboard for full visibility and control over your team’s network of devices. It has monitoring capabilities for power distribution, completely remote asset management, and early detection for issues. IT Advisor gives teams access to further development of their data. You’ll get complex features like 3D modeling and the ability to optimize your data center by tracking performance metrics. You also have asset management features similar to IT Expert, but it's not remote.

When it comes to EcoStruxure services, their starting price is not set in stone. It’s also not specified whether these are monthly or yearly estimates. In general, you won’t know the real cost for your team until you contact sales.

The Dispatch Services package offers teams in-person and virtual support when needed, as well expedited remediation for issues so workloads aren’t slowed down. To be eligible for this support, you would need to buy IT Expert and sign a contract for 1-5 years.
Always read your contracts twice, because you do not want to commit to the service and find out later there are hidden fees or auto-renewal clauses.
With both Monitoring and Dispatch Services, you get even more support for IT management of your devices. The service outsources IT management and monitoring tasks to Schneider Electric. Teams can save money outsourcing but the savings are not guaranteed, although the vendor does claim it can cost as low as .30 cents a day.
For Asset Advisor Prevent, teams will have access to 24/7 monitoring directly through the Schneider Electric hub and detailed reports. You can manage the healthcare and life cycle of devices from anywhere with the reassurance of fast communication with Schneider Electric experts.

What is an Alternative for EcoStruxure?
A great alternative for EcoStruxure is ThingWorx. The ThingWorx platform offers tools for asset management, cost savings, security, and data visualization. One big downside is that they don’t have any upfront pricing like EcoStruxure does, so you will need to contact sales for a quote.
On the bright side, ThingWorx has several positive reviews about their services. EcoStruxure is lesser known and doesn’t have that resource.
In fact, ThingWorx actually makes up 4% of the IoT market, and although popularity isn’t the most important factor, it does mean you can learn more about a product before purchasing.
Common positives noted by end-users are UI ease of use and overall device functionality like the built-in core tools. General issues reported include problems performing complicated functions like coding and the desire to integrate more modules in the software.
