It integrates data of customers across to manage several platforms. It is best for marketing strategies purpose. But sometimes it cost and acts as a barrier to access.
It is best to acquire customers data to manage account through the different channels to utilise effectively.
I’ve been using Tealium Customer Data Hub mainly to unify and activate client data across CRM, billing and marketing systems. We also use it to manage server-side and client-side pixels for over a thousand domains and we have also started using Event Stream to capture more data on the server side.
Tealium is for teams who need to unify customer data and want something reliable and it’s probably best for larger companies that have the tech resources to get the most out of it, also if you deal with a lot of domains or data sources, this really helps bring it all together.
Tealium Customer Data Hub and eventstream are the two primary tools that we use for both our server side and client side app management and for our API connectors and tags. Their great audience building property makes them ideal for real time marketing initiatives and they also help us to interact with our internal tracking system and our analytics suppliers.
It can get quite technical and can quite hard to use but given its great support and utility you should definitely give it a try. I highly recommend it to companies with complex data management needs due to it's great features and being able to integrate with other systems easily.
We use it for some clients in Brazil, we have a client here from the airline industry and we help them sync the collection of data, all digital data and offline data, some of the offline data as well to standardize that and aggregate all this information, create personas, profiles, and then we use that to create some business cases around marketing CRM and for our personal information as well to control personal information and help our clients.
For more suited, I'll say highly regulated industry around data like healthcare, insurance, finance, where Tealium can be very helpful and for clients that don't have much different channels where they interact with their clients. So companies that only sell on internet and are a small company, I can see Tealium being the best usage for these clients, for these companies.
We use EventStream to stream in events and pass to our customer engagement platform. The business problem we want to address is hyper personalized messaging used across channels and to implement the customer data platform - AudienceStream to build segments that align to existing and future use cases.
Appropriate:
Pulling in data from multiple sources and unifying this
Audience building
Third party connectors
Less so:
Reporting and analytics
Having to watch your event volumes which is costly
Tealium Customer Data Hub has been able to provide advanced segmentation that has allowed us to effectively reduce our ad spend while simultaneously increasing the quality of leads that we are generating by targeting key user groups. We have been able to do this by audience suppression and look-alike audiences targeting these key user groups. Along with this, we have been able to increase our signals that we are sending to different advertisers by leveraging event stream and Capi integrations.
Definitely in highly regulatory verticals. Tealium Customer Data Hub has the edge compared to its competitors when it comes to working in those spaces. I would also recommend it for marketing teams who have some IT support, but not a huge tech team that is able to support them in some sort of custom integrations. But are looking to quickly stand up a tool and start seeing returns quickly.
We use Tealium Event Stream to stream realtime conversion data to a number of different CAPI solutions. We've seen increased ROAS with these implementations which have only driven more need for more CAPI solutions / connectors to be put in place. With the 3rd party cookies going away soon, and increased privacy regulations with software updates (ioS 17, etc) we're noticing a loss of data capture that we were previsouly getting. The CAPI solution has helped with that. Our scope of Event Stream is pretty limited to CAPI, but we have other smaller use cases for sending real time data as well.
Tealium Customer Data Hub would be great for customers who want all their solutions in one place. We're already collecting the data in Tealium Customer Data Hub so we might as well be able to activate on it too! In terms of less appropriate, I'd say that the Tealium Customer Data Hub isn't as well suited for its integrations with other saas platforms. Deckers want to be able to use Tealium Customer Data Hub, but we have so many other tools in our suite that integrations between the other platforms is PIVOTAL to be able to activate the data across other channels.
Tealium Customer Data Hub allows us to execute real-time marketing campaigns across product activation, product adoption, e-commerce upsell, product community engagement use cases.
Tealium Customer Data Hub allows us to record real time events to trigger customer journeys and record conversion events for those campaigns.
The product is well suited for building customer data journeys.
Just beginning our journey, deploying in 1 month. Use cases are primarily capturing and enabling digital journeys stitched to known and anonymous customers.
Very good experience so far, will go live in 1 month and be more willing to recommend then.
We use Tealium Customer Data Hub to consolidate our real-time data and drive real-time web personalization and activation. Tealium Customer Data Hub is helping us consolidate disparate data sources into a common layer to power our personalized experiences.
The key here is real-time. Ensuring the use cases, web event capture and activation is built for the moment that matters. I see longer term data storage and internal analytics may have Tealium Customer Data Hub as an input but not as the primary tool.
