Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In our case, we use TestMu to test a mobile app on different real devices. This allows us to assess performance across the major brands of mobile devices. This is the main reason: functional testing is an important part of detecting problems or errors in a workflow that could impact our operations. By being able to test on different devices without location restrictions and leveraging both Android and iOS operating systems, we can ensure the proper functioning of our app.

I just like to expand the list of devices for some brands, like Motorola or Redmi. One of the devices of Motorola fails when I set the location in another country Sometimes the devices are a bit slow, which makes the tests take longer I'd like to be able to upload multiple files at once for file processing, rather than one at a time.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We're using it mainly for regression testing, it's important for us to make sure our product is stable, even when new features or fixes has been implemented. Right now the scope is iOS and Android devices, sometimes in manual side we're using also iPad and Android tablets. Finally to test a webview we're using also browser in Linux OS

The geo IP location is a great feature, where it was mandatory to select the correct country to make it work.

It's necessary to have into account that some of the devices have big demand, reason why some of your tests can be cancelled until a device is free to be used

We used LambdaTest to functionally test and validate key aspects of our journal application: such as functionality of media viewing, polls, education workflows, account signup, subscription flows, ect. Along with the respective responsive and visual aspects of those flows. LambdaTest is especially important to us as a consistent environment for cross-browser and device testing in a remote QA team, as it enables us to test our website against a wide variety of mobile device sizes, OS, and browsers.

LambdaTest is well-suited for testing your web application against mobile workflows, cross-OS and cross-browser situations, as well as checking the real responsiveness of your website. However, due to the latency of LambdaTest, and occasional small discrepancies between mobile flows on the platform vs having real devices, it is still good to use real mobile devices from time to time as they are not always one to one. Sometimes due to the clunkiness of mobile LambdaTest for iOS I would opt to use a physical device for a smoother experience.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Using LambdaTest to ensure our website and native app work with multiple devices as well as running our appium automation for the app on actual devices remotely. We had a trial for web automation (which we decided not to go ahead with at the moment) and also smart UI for more continuous testing on a storybook project.

Some documentation can be confusing
Some documentation is also out of date

The web automation aspects did not work for us currently with our testcafe project however we are looking forward to another trial when we are fully migrated with playwright.
The day to day usability and ability to use a lot of different devices is very appreciated & needed as a QA, it does this well.

We use LambdaTest for quick cross browser testing because our users come from different devices. It helps us catch UI bugs we usually miss locally.It basically solve the problem of inconsistent behavior across browsers.

It works great when we need fast cross browser and device testing, specially for catching small UI or responsive issues. It’s easy for quick demos too. But for heavy animation tests or long automation runs it becomes less reliable sometimes, and pricing also feel a bit high.

I have used LambdaTest for Real time Mobile testing and Mobile Automation. It is great experience, user-friendly and we can test Android, iOS and iPad. We can reach out to the support team for any kind of help/issues. They are responding in no time and assisting better. We can also trigger automation and we can watch the live mobile screen when we are executing which is great. We can get to know if the test is running or failing for any reason. If we want to check any locator during run time, we have the option to detect the locator during run time. Overall, it's amazing to use LambdaTest and no big issues faced. For configration related and clarity related, I have raised a support ticket. They assisted me quickly and resolved.

As we are a product based company, therefore to thoroughly test our Frontend application, we use LambdaTest. LambdaTest offers testing of application on all types of devices thus ensuring the product quality. The speed of execution of UI Automation suites in LambdaTest is very efficient with minimum drops in network.

We had execution environment issues for multi-environment on our Automation test framework that's where LT's Hyper-execute introduced to run regression on the different environments. As soon as our QA team commit the code, Hyper execute is automatically triggers and starts execution based on the Environment and Browsers and when the execution gets completed report is generated with result. It has the dashboard where quickly user can filter out the failed test and analyze for the fixes to be done

If your project has multiple environment and need regression tests to be executed repetitively for different platforms and browser versions, it is best suited. I have heard of Security testing feature too but I haven't tried yet If your project has limited pages and content is static where frequent changes are not done then it is less appropriate.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using LambdaTest for our app automation using selenium and appium and running our testcases through LambdaTest using different device.
It helps us to not maintain the physical device and we can run our regression tests in any of the devices with older or newer device or any older version of the app. also we are planning to automate our web automation tests and planning to user our app in app live feature to test the app in real devices to check the compatibility across various devices.

Cross browser testing - helps us to test the sites across different browsers and different os.
Real device testing- we can test our apps in iOS and android real devices at anytime.
Advance tools like UI inspector, debugging information, session recording, screen recording.

Cons

Performance issue in real device testing it is very slow sometimes even the internet is stable
The UX is confusing when I am recording the screen for app is is saved in files but as first time user I cant find where the recording was saved.
Support for more devtools like chrome devtools are missing.
