Be very weary of Textedly

I send out daily text messages to people who subscribe.

Pros

  • schedule ahead
  • adding new subscribers
  • allowing for subscribers to respond to text messages

Cons

  • Recently raised their rates without informing existing customers
  • In my opinion, terrible customer service
  • Would not adjust to my needs as a customer
  • Would not answer questions that I had
  • Did not offer options to resolve my issues
  • Did not listen to my concerns
  • Would not release purchased product for me to use
  • Rates are ridiculous with price increases

I have used Textedly for several years. But recently, in my opinion their commitment to customers and customer service has dramatically declined. They made recent updates to their platform and dramatically increased prices without contacting existing customers. The price of my existing plan increased a significant amount. I have requested that the messages I have purchased be made available to my business and they will not release them until a certain date. When I contacted customer support and ask for resolution, the staff do not answer my questions or offer alternative solutions. I have requested that my account be closed and a refund of the 11 months that I have not used. They will not work with me and only offer that I pay for a higher priced plan or purchase additional messages at a very, very high rate. Please do not use this company. They are no longer considering the needs of customers that have been with them for several years.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Textedly to send alerts to our staff and contractors regarding staff training, office closures due to weather, holiday greetings, and even a "Welcome to Mountain Area Community Services, Inc.!" text for our new employees. This is one way that everyone can be alerted at once - it saves time and everyone gets the same message.

  • Great customer service when I've had to contact them.
  • Great analytics.

Cons

  • When I delete someone from the system because they have left the company, I'd like to see them actually DELETED from textedly.

Likelihood to Recommend

In my opinion, this program would be well suited for any business that wants to keep its employees engaged. It gives almost a personal touch to let them know about alerts, company activities, office closures, etc.

We use Textedly to keep in touch and market to prospective and existing clients. In the past, we did this through email or individual SMS messages, but with Textedly we can now fire off messages to targeted groups very quickly and easily.

  • Helps with our mails list organization.

  • Would like the ability to send longer messages.

We looked at a lot of different text messaging services and Textedly was the most flexible with the most generous messaging limits.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Textedly to push out information about food distributions we are having in our service area. Before we had relied solely on social media to distribute this information but this has always been hit or miss based on the algorithm. With Textedly we can send a schedule to anyone that signs up for the service and give quick updates on any changes or cancellations.

Likelihood to Recommend

Textedly Is great for getting information out immediately to those that subscribe without this product you’re reliant on platforms that may not be seen by clients. This application circumvents any issues that you might have with using products that have an algorithm that determines what is seen. This has been so useful to our business, I wish we had been using it sooner.
