Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Tremendous products for employee rewards and recognition. The problems with them are vast. I plan to explain them in my review.

I will never use them again. I plan to make a switch to another company that has no affiliation with Tremendous going forward and I will recommend the same for friends, families, and colleagues. Tremendous has no interest in taking care of their customers and card users, they only care about making money for themselves.

We acquired Tremendous as a means of rewarding survey and market research participants. I was amazed to find a product that is truly at NO cost and so easy to use.

Likelihood to Recommend

I recommend Tremendous to anyone who might have a need to distribute rewards. The platform goes from small spot rewards up to managing tax documents for larger awards. I wish all the software I used was this effective!

We used Tremendous to send out virtual gift cards to our clients. We sent out gift cards as a thank you for taking our annual client survey as well as a holiday gift. Due to the pandemic, we are not able to send physical gifts to our clients. Tremendous makes it easier for us to say thank you without sending anything physical.

I think Tremendous is the perfect option for someone who is looking to send out virtual gifts to clients or prospects. I was able to customize the emails and landing page to my company's branding. I was able to easily upload the list of clients I wanted to send the email to, and easily click 'send' to send the emails all within one click.

Tremendous is very helpful when rewards/gifts need to be sent out to a large group of people. It's a very simple platform, but it is very efficient. There's a lot of user choice, and that has proven to be very helpful.

We use Tremendous to send incentives for research participation to our customers. Several members of the research and product teams have accounts, and the head of the research team approves each transaction. We vary the amount sent by research activity, and the recipient can choose where they want to redeem their reward.

Likelihood to Recommend

Tremendous is well suited for businesses giving gift cards to employees as a reward or to research participants as thanks/compensation for their time. It's not like a cash sharing software between friends. It is also best for relatively small amounts of money because the sender runs the risk of sending the reward to the wrong email.

We use Tremendous to distribute incentives to research participants upon successful completion of a focus group, in-depth interview, or video response on a survey. The platform is very easy to use and allows us to quickly send out gift cards to respondents. Recipients have the ability to select a gift card of their choosing, which makes it great from a customer perspective as well.

No fee for most gift card options

Cons

Users are not notified that they've selected a reward option that has a fee until the final screen before placing order
The final screen showing that there will be a fee associated with a reward does not say which reward is charging the fee, so if you want to remove it you have to go through a trial and error process
Sometimes the reward amount does not import when uploading a list of recipients, forcing the user to enter manually through the website or attempting to re-upload the file (note, this issue has gotten better in recent months)

Likelihood to Recommend

Tremendous is great for any organization that needs to send out e-gift cards. In the market research industry, its a no brainer because we have to incentive respondents for their time and the platform allows us to easily distribute these incentives while simultaneously giving recipients the ability to choose the gift card that best fits their needs. It would not be useful for businesses that do not have a need to send out gift cards.

We implemented a referral program for our software to reward our customers when they recommend our product to their friends. Our user base is international, so we needed a way to send rewards around the world without a lot of hassle. Tremendous let us accomplish this by letting our customers choose a gift card specific to their region.

Works with our international customer base
Users can choose a gift card for a local store in their region
Simple interface for sending rewards
Set up templates for common rewards to be reused
Pulls funds directly from our bank account, funding is easy

Cons

We do not have insight into whether a customer has redeemed a reward or not
Unredeemed rewards kind of go into a void, we cannot get funds back for unclaimed rewards

Likelihood to Recommend

The problem Tremendous solves very well is sending gift cards internationally. Before we found Tremendous, we were investigating an Amazon Business account, but they only let you send gift cards to a few countries, and getting set up with it is a pain. With Tremendous, we only had to set up once and now we can send rewards around the world without needing to worry about registering in each country.
