Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Tremendous products for employee rewards and recognition. The problems with them are vast. I plan to explain them in my review.

Most Important Features

  • We can send gift cards quickly, as a team, without having to wait for accounting to send them as a batch (as we did previously with Amazon gift cards). However, a manager still approves all orders.
  • We can send gift cards to pretty much anyone around the world. Our customers across the globe participate in virtual research activities, and they can get a reward that they can use. Amazon gift cards can't do that.
  • The variety of options for redeeming digital gift cards (especially, being able to donate it to charity) makes it appealing to wider proportion of people. This way it's a better incentive for our customers to participate in research activities.

Return on Investment

  • The fact that it's free to use means Tremendous has had a very positive ROI on our research operations. We've gained much and lost nothing.

We acquired Tremendous as a means of rewarding survey and market research participants. I was amazed to find a product that is truly at NO cost and so easy to use.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Tremendous to send out virtual gift cards to our clients. We sent out gift cards as a thank you for taking our annual client survey as well as a holiday gift. Due to the pandemic, we are not able to send physical gifts to our clients. Tremendous makes it easier for us to say thank you without sending anything physical.

Great platform for distributing gift cards

  • Easy to upload recipient lists and distribute
  • No fee for most gift card options

Cons

  • Users are not notified that they've selected a reward option that has a fee until the final screen before placing order
  • The final screen showing that there will be a fee associated with a reward does not say which reward is charging the fee, so if you want to remove it you have to go through a trial and error process
  • Sometimes the reward amount does not import when uploading a list of recipients, forcing the user to enter manually through the website or attempting to re-upload the file (note, this issue has gotten better in recent months)

  • It saves us time with distributing incentives, since we can simply upload a file with names and email addresses, click a button, and the rewards are sent

  • The technology is a big selling point for us when winning work by being able to say we have the ability to quickly distribute respondent incentives and that the respondents have so many options to choose from when redeeming their reward
