We use UKG Ready for Time and Attendance, Payroll and Payroll Services, Scheduling, and as our HRIS. We use it for storing personnel documents and retention notes on employees, it integrates with our talent acquisition software and we use it for tax records and reporting use cases also as well.
Pros
It is easy to navigate and find information quickly
It integrates well with our Applicant Tracking System
It helps us set custom rules for scheduling and time and attendance
Cons
There could be better administration for Payroll Tax setup
The search function in the platform is not very effective
There is not a way to delete duplicate profiles
Likelihood to Recommend
UKG is great for growing companies that want to internalize their payroll services and support. It does an excellent job for payroll and time and attendance. It seems less appropriate for heavily customized payroll situations as well for integrating across many platforms. Overall it is an easy to use platform with good layer of support in the background.

We are currently using UKG Ready as our primary HRIS and Payroll system. It allows us to have all of our compensation and people data housed in the same system. We have set up multiple integrations between UKG Ready and our other People data systems like our ATS and a separate Data Visualization portal.
Pros
Building custom reports
Having payroll and HR data all in one place
Mobile access
Cons
Integrating with other tools
Implementation speed
Support when there are issues
Likelihood to Recommend
UKG Ready is a solid solution to integrate payroll and people data in once place. As someone who primarily works with data, analytics and reporting, I appreciate the custom report building. It is very flexible and intuitive. You can pull any data into a custom report and easily export it for analysis. There are also several built in dashboards which are easily filterable.
We use UKG Ready for payroll and HR management. We are a small-to-midsize community organization that has multiple unions, and although our payroll is relatively simple, UKG addresses multiple jobs per employee, complex scheduling needs, unification of HR process and documentation as well as high-level payroll management and reporting. We are planning on expanding our scope in the coming year by working with consultants.
Pros
Extremely granular reporting capabilities
Easy and integrative employee management
Proficient payroll processing workflows
Cons
Custom reporting is not intuitive
Learning and training is poor and has not provided our team with a way to approach our problems in a cost-effective and meaningful way
Consistent glitches in some areas result in errors that persist through multiple payrolls despite a thorough review of all settings
Reports don't live in the same place, multiple types of reports exist in multiple places with little explanation of the difference. We often build custom reports only to have them disappear or have to spend a long time trying to find them.
Likelihood to Recommend
I might recommend UKG to a larger organization than ours. The complexity is rich, but perhaps it is too powerful a tool for what we need. That or it's a bit messy in its construction, having so many tools available but difficult to find or not working appropriately. UKG Ready processes payroll efficiently and with ease, but unless you are using a simple accounting platform it may not be able to easily integrate with yours.

we use almost the entire UKG Ready system! We needed a system that could handle it all and integrate with Spectrum and our other Trimble products to bring it all together to create a One stop shop for our employees as well as our HR team. We also needed to move from our manual processes to more automated processes and UKG Ready has allowed us to do that!
Pros
Recruiting Platform works great to fill our open needs with the partnership with EQuest
T&A and Payroll all in one place to make the process easier
Reviews to allow for an actual system to be in place
HR onboarding to sync with the Recruiting and make it easier to hire and complete what is needed as we move them through the whole process.
Cons
Construction in general - Lots of focus on retail, healthcare, and manufacturing but construction is a space that I see is mentioned but not the focus for the complex needs.
Reviews - easier way to really set up and manage profiles when you have multiple departments and review set ups

I have absolutely loved working with UKG and everyone I have met. They are all great and always willing to help and answer our questions! We love the product and what it has provided for not only our HR team but our employees as well.
UKG is being used across our organization! We use the HR, Performance, TLM, and Payroll functions. We currently use UKG to conquer onboarding about 400-500 new employees every week. It also helps us stay on top of accrual policies that impact us a nationwide company. The way that UKG best addresses our business problems is by its configurability. We grow fast and we move fast; UKG makes it possible for us to pivot quickly.
Pros
Reporting
Company setup at the administrator level
Customer feedback
Cons
Unintuitive checklist experience! The amount of user support our employees need is a major cost for my company.
Lack of proper communication on important system bugs. We have had issues with direct deposit changes, 401k match, and withholding form submissions; these are obviously all hugely important functions. All came back to be system bugs! Things happen but none were resolved quickly and none were communicated well. We were told that they were fixed on several occasions, only to find out that it wasn't deployed.
You should be able to change someone's accrual profile effective a date. This is important to both employees who have been promoted and employees who are changing their work location.
We use the entire UKG Ready suite. UKG Ready has streamlined our tedious HR functions and has improved our service times. We've also become a Great Place to Work thanks to the data analytics of UKG Ready. Our employees love the ease of the system and really like their pay for earned wages with UKG Wallet
Pros
Data Analytics
Workflows
Communication with Employees
Cons
Survey Module
Performance Reviews
Better AI

UKG makes recruiting and job postings so much easier than other platforms. It cross posts jobs to several job boards with the click of the button. It also has some exceptional reporting functionality that similar systems do not have built in. Overall, I think UKG could improve on their performance module.

UKG Ready is our employee facing portal. It is the option for our employees to log in, update their personal information themselves, onboarding, open enrollment, performance management, and file feeds for insurance. This has helped to make things more efficient for processing, and saving money in the long run ensuring everything has been turned off when it was supposed to be when employees left the company.
Pros
Design and suggestions! When building the portal, they made many suggestions to help with flow.
Project planning-timeline and staying on top of it!
Flexibility. I can adjust things or ask them to.
Cons
Customer service-while their customer service has been awesome so far, everyone can always improve!
Likelihood to Recommend
Flexible-al a carte if you want. You can pick and choose services that suit your company's needs. We started with a few items and have added along the way. My goal is to have everything there eventually! We also have multiple EINs and they have made it easy to switch between them. Can also have varying dashboards when each company logs in and see different things.
The primary use for us is time and attendance, scheduling, and compliance tracking. Every employee, from machine operators to warehouse support clocks in and out using biometric time clocks linked directly to UKG Ready. Our line supervisors manage shifts directly in UKG Ready. They can copy templates, drag and drop coverage which appear instantly on the mobile apps.
Pros
The way it understands workforce complexities like shift premiums, lateness tolerances and union rue variances.
not once has it buckled when we ran custom accruals, absence banks or timekeeping across different departments
Automated time collection rules
Cons
The system's filtering logic still leaves a lot to be desired
Syncing issues with the mobile app
Likelihood to Recommend
If you manage a multi-shift, hourly workforce and need one system to handle time attendance and scheduling, I couldn't recommend a better tool. The initial rule configs take time but make quite the difference. Just train your team leads to own schedules. You might also need to set up signal boosters if you're relying on LAN from mobile apps, for clock-ins.

We use the UKG Ready platform through a third-party named Fuse Workforce. One of my favorite things about the UKG platform is the seamless connection between the people management and payroll pieces. In previous platforms, there was a disconnection between those 2 pieces and it was overly complicated to process payroll. We use the UKG ready platforms from recruiting, onboarding, benefits, performance management, offboarding and people management.
Pros
Seamless connectivity between different pieces
Payroll is simple
Performance Management creations are easy
Cons
Learning piece is separate from the main account, employees have to download 2 apps
With Fuse, the helpdesk is sometimes difficult to reach
With Fuse, getting a solution can be challenging since it’s a third party
Likelihood to Recommend
There’s not much for me to share here other than multiple mobile apps for employees to download for different functions. We have the learning function activated and employees had to download a second mobile app (HCMToGo Learning) to be able to access the Learning portal on the go. Concerned that if we continue to add more functionality, there will be more apps to download.

Pros
Customizable homepage
Easy access to tax records
Cons
Platform is non-intuitive in terms of its design and where things are located
When changing permissions you have to do things in multiple parts of the platform and again it’s non intuitive
Likelihood to Recommend
UKG is good for a large scale organizations and it has really good audit records, but it’s challenging to use for a small professional services organization because it’s highly complex overly engineered and doesn’t track the things that we wanted it to track. For example, it doesn’t track bonus percentages, or total bonus or total actualized compensation over your basis and we also find the reporting is very challenging to use and then put into some of our own proprietary models. so all in all it’s hard to use for our compensation use case
