WizIQ WP-Moodle Plug-in Issues 2022

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We purchased this plug-in (Jan 22) for our online classroom as they have been aggressively promoting their new Webtec product with enhanced features. The plug-in is used in our WP-Moodle Platform. We have had issues since the plug-in was installed (3-4 Jan), a demo was conducted with teachers and students. However, there are many issues escalating at the user end for us almost every day. The issues we've experienced are: As we are dealing with little children - fonts cannot be enlarged on the whiteboard, documents uploaded cannot be enlarged or reduced on the board, pages cannot be flipped or turned, PowerPoint ( .ppsx ) interactive presentations don't work, whiteboard tabs cannot be edited, chat transcript is not possible, classrooms cannot be rescheduled or edited if the classes are canceled nearer the time or well ahead of the launch time of the scheduled class. Recordings don't have serial numbers they have a static number for the recordings and it's difficult to identify the recording unless they are downloaded and played to identify the recordings. The class description does not show in the class or the class schedule! The plugin basically hangs or takes time to respond, the users are blamed for poor internet speed and other reasons. We have several users in the UAE and Etisalat provides one of the best internet solutions. Those outside of the UAE are regular users of Zoom, Google meet, and other virtual classroom software without any internet issues. There are several chronic issues with this plugin and WizIQ support is in total denial in my opinion. These are just a few things we have discovered over the last 2 - 3 weeks and have been requesting a refund. These are essential for our day-to-day navigation and seamless classrooms for young learners. Furthermore, they have advised that the breakout rooms will be available in Feb-March! We had the plugin installed on the 3-4 Jan, demo conducted on the 7th, an intimation of a refund if things don't work on the 5th of Jan and continued to request for a refund for several weeks since we started to experience chronic issues with this plugin. Being a small operation, we have invested app LK rupee 80,000 for this plugin and WizIQ is refusing to grant us a refund over the last 3 weeks. They also refuse to give me contact for customer service or senior management to resolve this issue. My feedback is to bring awareness of our experience to the WizIQ product and team.

Pros

  • They had a better support team in the past in my opinion.
  • The response for technical issues are prompt.

Cons

  • Customer Service and client loyality
  • All of the features that are not available are essential
  • Org.wiziq was a better product although the recordings were in .exe format

Likelihood to Recommend

Sorry, but I would never recommend them to anyone anymore. In the past, their new or potential clients have contacted me for feedback and on 2 occasions I have given positive feedback.

Stay AWAY from WIZIQ - Wordpress Plugin does not function correctly. No customer service.

Rating: 1 out of 10

Virtual classroom Software which was supposed to help the company transition to e-learning during COVID-19 Pandemic. It was meant to assist nearly 200 children learn from home, when they couldn't attend in-person english and maths classes. Unfortunately, this product does not function properly and the customer support and technical support team have not fixed the problems (which were reported by my team in July and August 2020) in nearly 6 months. Refund has been requested and the company contacts have been reported.

  • Does not function properly, no customer support. Last email received on 30th October 2020, it's now 15th December 2020.
  • Refund has been requested.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I was interested in moving to a new online classroom so looked at various alternatives including WizIQ LMS. Their product looked good but had no recurring classes function, which is crucial for my business. They offered me their old, outdated site with this feature, which was not acceptable to me. The rep told me recurring classes could be enabled with the new classroom and so I decided to sign up.

When we paid our annual fee ($6000) and I logged in, there was no recurring classes option. I was assured this was an oversight. I received a new log-on, but now for their old platform with a connection to the new classroom. This horrible mash-up of the two sites did not represent an improvement on the simple system we currently use.

As I was within 5 days of sign up, I invoked their 30-day satisfaction policy to request a refund, but it was refused despite the fact their policy has no conditions other than whether or not the customer is satisfied. They are now ignoring my messages. I would not recommend WizIQ to anyone.

Pros

  • The new site looks impressive.

Cons

  • Their old site is cluttered and contains more links and features than most users need.
  • Total refusal to provide the refund they promise in their 30 day refund policy.
  • Aggressive sales.

Likelihood to Recommend

If their new site works for your business then you will probably be fine, but if the product you end up with does not match your expectations, don't expect to get your money back, despite what their website says.

A nice LMS platform

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The WizIQ is being used by our organization as an internal LMS for our staff to improve their learning by doing online course and assessments. The whole organization uses this app for self-learning with different types of accounts:

1. User-created as a learner to access course content.

2. User as Teacher:- A user who can also create courses for the other user.

3. User as Admin: - Who perform admin operations on our internal WizIQ LMS.

I have explored all the three versions and my experience with WizIQ has been a good learning experience.

Pros

  • WizIQ provides a well-structured report including the rank of a learner.
  • The teacher can also log in as a learner to explore the other teacher's course.
  • One time uploaded resource can be used multiple times for developing a new course.
  • Course Instructor will get a notification when a learner enrolls in the course.
  • It provides completion status by which we can identify in which stage the common learner is facing difficulties.
  • It supports various types of contents formats like .ppt, .pdf, .mp4 and many more.

Cons

  • The biggest issue in WizIQ is the repository of its courses, we can't even search the courses on the platform.
  • Sharing or saving a link, of course, is the only medium to share the course with others.

Likelihood to Recommend

Earlier we faced difficulties in rolling out new programs, application or developing particular skills of our employees. The WizIQ LMS platform solved our problems at some levels. It has all the capabilities of a common LMS so now we introduce the new things or programs by launching a simple course on WizIQ's.

In my opinion, It has only one drawback which is the searchability of courses. If you have a lot courses on the platform then you will definitely find it difficult to search in this LMS.

Terrible experience with WizIQ LMS

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

<div>We are a small teaching service who was looking for a LMS that could support remote teachers giving classes to students in Brazil. During an initial trial of the online classroom with a WizIQ salesperson and two of our team members, we experienced some slow audio/video but were assured that when we upgraded our internet speed in Brazil (as we already planned to do), then the problems would cease. Perhaps misguidedly, we went ahead and purchased one year of Premium membership+Online Academy—aka, $1,600. </div><div>

</div>

Pros

  • Convincing salespeople
  • Good marketing
  • Good website

Cons

  • Audio/visual quality
  • Dedication of sales team/account managers
  • Unwillingness of team to be proactive when trying to help customers

Likelihood to Recommend

<div>After multiple tests with our team members, we could never make the WizIQ platform work when more than 4 students were logged on. Our lead teacher also noticed that (even after emailing multiple times asking for assistance) her account was always listed as ’Trial’ and not ‘Premium’. When we never received clear information about the Trial/Premium confusion, and when it became clear that the software simply COULD NOT support more than 4 students, we knew this platform would not allow us to offer high quality classes…especially since our enrollment was growing quickly. </div><div>

</div><div>The process to close the account and request a refund was painful. A month and a half of email tag—where our team would say “please close our account and refund us” and the WizIQ team would send a stock response of “please let us do another technical troubleshooting session” took far too much of our team’s most precious resource: Time. </div><div>

</div><div>Last night the problems came to a head when, after one WizIQ employee told us we would receive a refund, another told us that the breakdown in communication had happened inside our own team and that WizIQ was not at fault. Regardless of how big or small the customer’s organization is, it is the job of WizIQ to dig into issues and discover problems to ensure customer satisfaction. </div><div>

</div><div>To us, it felt like WizIQ made a huge effort to seem like they were helping…while in reality nothing ever got resolved and we were left with the same questions that made us frustrated with WizIQ in the first place. Now we are so exhausted that even the refund doesn’t feel worth any additional contact with WizIQ. We are posting this review as a matter of public interest, in the hope that another young company does not encounter the same problems with WizIQ that we did. </div><div>

</div><div>If you are looking for a user-friendly, inexpensive, reliable LMS that has great domestic+international technical support and works beautifully when teachers/students are attending from different countries, try Canvas.</div>
