Easy to monitor working hours and leave management

We use Zoho People as a self service HR tool that helps streamline administrative processes. It allows employees to independently manage and monitor their leaves, holidays, working hours, attendance and compensatory hours which reduces the need to contact the HR for these updates. This saves time and makes record keeping easier.

Pros

  • Easy leave management - It simplifies leave requests which allows employees to view their leave balances, holidays and apply for leaves directly from the app
  • Accurate time tracking - It efficiently tracks employees working hours, overtime or compensatory hours which helps keep a detailed record
  • Automated notifications and reminders - It sends automated reminders for check in/out, leave approvals, attendance regularization and other important updates
  • Comprehensive HR analytics

Cons

  • Check in and GPS issues - The app sometimes struggles with location detection during check-in which delays logging in
  • Limited offline access - Zoho People should have had an offline functionality making it difficult for employees to check in or log hours when internet connection is an issue
  • Clunky user interface - I personally find the interface bit too cluttered which makes navigation difficult

Zoho People is well suited for organizations where they need a self service HR tool for tasks like attendance, leave management and time tracking. It is perfect for offices where employees like to work independently and benefit from easily accessing and managing their own HR records.

But it is less suitable where internet is an issue or GPS is unavailable which makes the process of check-in/check-out frustrating.

Zoho People is a HRM software that helps our organisation to track employees records their leaves, time tracking, leave approvals and regularisation and birthday celebrations. Also, we can add newsletters, company policies, amendments etc. In our organisation we also use this software add trainings material here and for announcements as well. Moreover, You can also check employee performance here and employee can also self-appraised their annual appraisals which can be reviewed and changed by the management.

If i talk about my organisation and my personal experience Zoho People is perfectly fits on our organisation and we are servicing sector and timely provide services to our client is our main motive and Zoho People helps us in this regards by providing time tracking and leaves trackings of the employees. However, Zoho People vault is little bit pricey.

Zoho People is the HRMS software. Here, in our organization we track employees leaves, attendances, timesheet using Zoho people. It's very easy and user friendly. Employees birthdays, people who're all newly hired everything will be displayed to people. And there is a chat box integrated with this software so we can easily connect to people.

For a business requirement, I had a situation to connect with my higher authority. At that moment, I was able to fetch his contact number form the Zoho and easily contacted him. You can also check the whole organization's hierarchy start from CEO to the Ground level employee. And most importantly, Reminding me to clock-out. Most of the time, I'll set an alarm for the clock-out thing but with the help of the In-app notification it helps and works.

We use Zoho People on a large scale. Where we keep track of the progress of one individual. We can monitor the progress of a peers USing PMS, set up monthly & quarterly goals, and review and rate the goals. It also keeps track of many other things like attendance, Log-ins & outs, it is a very effective ticketing tool as well.

A Multitasking Software that Reduces lot of Gaps in Employee Management

Zoho People is something that helps us a lot in our daily business activities. Back in 2020 when I am working with the "Workhurs" everything was good before Covid and we have an opening for a lot of positions at that time, We are unable to hire the 4 - 5 suitable candidates even though they are good, the only reason is they are unable to relocate to the Job location. Covid happened and everything was made Remote for us, We started our remote journey and I personally felt a lot of issues in handling my team, the biggest problem we faced over there is communication and the proper structure of the remote work environment. Then we come up with this Zoho People which has some unique features of Remote working setup where we can get the attendance and pay roll and even more features which helped us a lot. Not only these we used Zoho Cliq, Zoho CRM, Zoho Meeting, and a lot more Zoho one products during work hours. I moved to another organization now and I found these guys also using Zoho over here.

Zoho People is well suitable in both Remote & work location setups, It will reduce the time for senior management to track their attendance and other activities. It helps a lot in getting the info of their colleagues. Able to request for leave and get approval at the same place and the interesting thing is no need to note it down as it will automatically fall to the respective employee's attendance tracker. It is well useful in remote settings. This is the problem we faced and Zoho People is the solution for us.

I have clients from different in different locations and we use Zoho People as online Human Resource Management System to manage employees (our and that of our clients). Zoho People is designed to manage employee for small companies where we can access all employee data and manage their leaves, performance, customized roles

Pros

  • We can manage employee leaves with central approval system
  • With Zoho People we can manage KRAs, Competencies, and Skillsets! With the help of these modules we are able to asses employee performance evaluation.
  • We can easily manage employee database

  • There must be multiple organizations and line managers for each company separately managed
  • Frequently used features must be added to an easy menu automatically for ease of access
  • HR Analytics needs improvement

Zoho People is used in our Human Resources Department, managing about 15 employees in total. The system is only accessible to a few people and helps to keep all employee files in one space. This cloud based HRMS also helps to ensure access to information from a distance with Covid-19.

Pros

  • Data Management- It's useful to have all data related to HR in one space, especially using the cloud. Separating data into relevant categories also makes administrative work a breeze.
  • Employee Resources- Having a central place for employees to reach out to HR is ideal.
  • Customization- Creation of forms is especially useful for a growing business.
  • Integration- Integrates well with other systems.

Cons

  • Customer Support- Occasionally support response to questions can take a bit to get to the root issue, which can be frustrating from the technical side of running the system. However, the 24/7 availability is great.
  • Onboarding Features- Could use some improvements. Not as expansive as other Zoho People features.

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoho People is very well suited to larger companies or companies that are working partly or exclusively online. It can take the place of your time-tracking systems which is a cost and time-saver since all information is in one, integrated place. If you have an HR team that prefers old-school paper tracking or if you have a smaller team this may not be a necessary system for you.

Zoho People is used as an auxiliary HR platform by our company. Although we would love to have Zoho People be our primary and sole HR platform, there are still some holes and UX issues that are preventing us from doing so.

  • Time off importing/functionality is difficult to navigate
  • Hiring/onboarding is not great at all
  • Overall UX is confusing

If you have a really small company and don't have a ton of HR needs, Zoho People works well. Otherwise, you'll need a more in-depth/robust HR platform like Zenefits to take care of everything you need.
