Scaling small team's productivity - Our virtual office hub
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Zoom Workplace to schedule daily, weekly or periodic basis meetings. Since we did not used teams, we had two options - Zoom Workplace and google meet. For google meet, you would need google account sign in & the licence costs were high compared to that of Zoom. In our case we use Zoom to schedule company wide meetings so basically Zoom is used company wide & since our company is small scale, Zoom became a viable option for us.
Pros
- It keeps everything in single place, so chats, documents shared in the meetings are available in a chat group.
- Easy setup and really intuitive to use, just share the meeting link with required people (internal / external) and you are good to go.
- AI companion is really useful, which provides good summary/ notes of the meeting
Cons
- Switching between multiple modules such as meeting, chat, shared documents (which is part of zoom), it just feels not that great

If you want to try out Zoom for free, you can! However please note in free tier you get only 40 mins per meeting, so planning is required for meeting scheduling. Most of the benifits are available in paid tier, but if you / your organisation can afford it, the benifits are great!
Zoom is the solution of your remote business.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are a Saas company, and we operate everything online. All our sales process is done online demos and training for everything. We have tried many screen-sharing apps, remote control apps, meeting apps, and apps for taking notes of the meeting. All of these things we found in one place, that is, Zoom. For seamless video meetings, it has notes, remote control, and recording the meeting so that it can be used in the future, recording training sessions so that they can be used in the future, which saves our time. and finding each and every one of our requirements is very overwhelming. The integration with our calendars has made scheduling meetings very easy; no more back-and-forth emailing to book the time. The thing I like is the ease with which everything works together. It handles our webinars, which helps us in our sales process. It's a single solution for all our requirements. it has become an essential part of our workflow.
Pros
- Screen sharing.
- Screen recording.
- Remote access.
- Webinars
- Online meetings.
- Scheduling
Cons
- The user interface is very old now; it can be improved.
- The process of making a host is not flawless, and the notifications we get after taking the actions are not clearly visible.
- When we record the screen, if I need the windows should be vertical or horizontal, I should get that option. which is considered by Zoom itself, and no accountability for that.

We wanted to do a podcast with some of our users asking about their experience, some funny incidents, and about their journey in their business. and wanted to record that session, make some reels out of it, and some YouTube videos. But due to the long distance, we were not able to do the activity. Zoom helped us with this; we could record the meeting with subtitles, and we can use that as our marketing material.

Zoom Workplace on mobile Easy connectivity for Customer support calls Meeting schedule and reminder integrated with slack.
Excellent meeting tool with upside around team communication as new features are added
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We particularly use Zoom Meetings, but often use the chat mechanism and communication mechanism after meetings are done. The basic scope is that meetings are done outside of our main communications tool (Slack) due to how ubiquitous Zoom Workplace is. So, from that perspective, we often use the Zoom Assistant and chat mechanism to talk specifically about the meetings that just occurred.
Pros
- Keeping everything in one place
- Tying together meetings, transcripts, chats
- Settings management
Cons
- Would like to see more integrations
- Needs better management of channels
- Would like to see better control over meeting sharing settings
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited is anything involving communications re: audio and video communications. However, actual text communication i.e. channels needs to be improved upon. File sharing would be nice because right now it still feels like a meeting tool first and everything else a distant second. That's my main take. Hopefully more attention on communication moves the needle in the future.

Zoom a master class in Meetings
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Zoom Workplace for outbound virtual meetings, Webinars, and Zoom Phone. Our teams utilize this as multiple avenues for our team to meet with clients and give them a way for the client to want to have a meeting and not just be stuck with needing to be on a pointless meeting at their computer but could opt in for using their cellphone to call our CS team and company. We hold webinars also for learning events with the CEO and Marketing Leadership.
Pros
- Easily connect with clients through zoom phone
- integrates into outlook to setup meetings quickly
- great analytics
Cons
- Maybe a way to have automatic recording started
- training sessions for the teams

I think it is great when you work remote, having teams be able to collaborate and meet with vendors and partners if you cannot meet face to face. I think it is also beneficial with all the apps and analytics they provide. It truly can do anything and using it with partners like Gong and Hubspot we can really showcase our data.
A wonderful tool that provides an incredible collaboration experience

Great for larger town hall style meeting. Workshops, Training sessions and those more larger group sessions. however not as good for the quick 1v1 catchups or small group meeting due to not having an accompany chat ecosystem think microsoft teams and google workspace and i dont think it should these products really struggle in that larger area allowing with the additional features Zoom to become very good in the townhall mircoconference training edu space
Incredible Product
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
[...] uses Zoom Workplace as its communications hub, and phone provider. As we wanted to consolidate communications and offer a solution for meetings, Zoom Workplace solved all of that and more. We are more connected with our officers across the US, being a meeting or phone code away from actively collaborating .
Pros
- Enhanced communication
- Better IP Phone
- Webinars
Cons
- More recording space

As a user of both Zoom Workplace and Teams, I think Zoom Workplace provides a more cohesive experience. We enjoy all the features and will take advantage of the remaining functions. This year, we enjoyed the Zoom Workplace events function with our international meeting, providing an alternate experience for meetings and events.
