Overall Satisfaction with Abila MIP Fund Accounting

My department performs all accounting and reporting functions for the organization which has over 75 grants. I am required to report budget to actual by grant, program and organization and MIP does it all for me. The software is user friendly but only used by the finance department.

Pros

  • Easily reports by "Cost centers"
  • Quick processes
  • Easy to learn

Cons

  • The process of printing out 1099's can be cumbersome and you have to be on the newest upgrade
  • Higher efficiency
  • Improved sharing of information
I moved to MIP because the Solomon software that we had was difficult to get reports from and required a separate program
This software is best suited for organizations with the need for recording to many cost centers.
