Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting
MIP is used in our department only. We manage over 200 grant research accounts and many donation accounts. MIP helps us to keep tract of the budget and expenses for each account individually along with providing the best reports.
- The detailed reporting and filtering for the accounts helps our researchers analyze and review their budgets and expense for progress reports to the agencies.
- The only thing I would like to see is a way to filter inactive or deactivated reports when pulling in a large number of account numbers to review.
- Most positive review is of course being able to report as detailed as we can. This is key to the research accounts
- Having a system that is dependable and accurate for our needs and customized for our needs.
We are able to accurately manage multiple grant funds and accounts. The ease of using MIP is greatly beneficial to us.
We tried other products that did not have the flexibility or customization that we have MIP and it just didn't work and was a waste of man hours and money trying to make it work. The cost invested into the MIP system has been so worth it.

1 - Basically we have one user who handles the Administration side of MIP Fund Accounting. This person assigns the executive view users and handles the security aspect of the system and also deals with the ITech who maintains the server database portion of MIP fund accounting.

15 - We have executive view users, 2 accountants that utilize the Encumbrance Moduel, Accounts Payable and Purchase Order Module, 2 purchasers how utilize the Purchase Order and Encumbrance Module. Other users review reports provided in the MIP accounting systems.
