Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting (formerly Abila MIP)
[It's being used by the] whole organization, it helps my non-profits manage their finances with ease. It is versatile and offers different modules to different size companies.
Pros
- Improved accounting period close
- Fund accounting DrillPoint module links directly with Excel which helps with financial statement preparation time
- MIP offers training, which helps users utilize the modules better
Cons
- Support is not as fast as we would like to see
- High initial cost for implementation
- Users need to be trained as it has so many modules, sometimes we have to have an external consultant
- Saved us time during financial auditing with advanced reporting tools
- We were able to build the modules to fit our exact needs
- Security rules made it easier for managing users and helping with user review for compliance
