Overall Satisfaction with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud

Reliable and easy to use product that is full of features. We use it to back up our Hyper-V virtual servers to local storage and the Acronis cloud. The product just works after setting it up and you dont need to fuss with it all of the time to ensure you are actually being backed up.

Pros

Cons

  • Large datasets to the cloud have trouble
  • Some tasks require you to poke the web API
  • Interface is designed for MSPs and not IT Departments
  • We spend about 1/3 the amount of time babysitting our backups now than with our previous backup product.
  • Our per GB usage costs recently doubled
We used Veeam previously and were constantly having to contact support for issues that would pop up all the time. Constant issues with backup chains getting corrupted and no longer being able to back up. We have had very few issues in the last year after switching over to Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud.

It is great being able to log into the web interface from anywhere and checking on my backups or an alert. Not needing to log into each specific agent is great. I appreciate how the agents dont need to be messed with after setting them up. They auto update and just seem to work without having to troubleshoot them.

Using Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud

  • Backups for our virtual servers

  • Being able to recover files
  • Being able to restore to bare metal in the event of a failure
They recently raised the pricing for backup usage and our price has nearly doubled. It is still lower than some other vendors, but we might review other options before renewing next year.

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Support

Can be slow to respond at times, but they will be able to help you get to a resolution fairly quickly. We have not com across an issue they were unable to fix. Have found that they will generally start by trying to send you links to KB articles, so if you need help directly, you can send KB's that you have looked at already to bypass the back and forth.
