Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

We use it to create secure files for review, to create and annotate creative proofs for review, and to create non-editable and sharable forms of presentations. It's the gold standard for secure documents as well as for creative documents, which is unusual—but it works really well and always has, in my opinion.
  • Creates signable and secure documents
  • Creates non-editable, high-quality digital files
  • Creates output files for high quality printing
  • Doesn't have the best or easiest interface for adding comments
  • Would like to see the ability to review / add comments
  • Don't like that I have to be online / signed in with Creative Suite to view PDFs—adding that was a miss for me.
  • Create secure documents
  • Create signable documents
  • Create printable high quality presentations
  • Create high quality digital exports easily and quickly
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
  • Other
It's the standard digital document maker and reader. If you can not PDF things, there isn't another way to send them securely. If you can not PDF things, you can't create faithful digital representations and send them to your clients. If you can't PDF things, honestly, you can not do business.
  • Improved security and compliance
  • Increased efficiency because it's standard for many
  • Increased efficiency due to its simplicity and compatibility
Adobe Acrobat's security features are paramount for the efficiency they provide in interactions such as completing paperwork, closing deals, communicating sensitive data, identity verification, etc. Before this existed, paperwork was still king at this company—luckily that was a while ago.
Every other product out there for secure documents or for sharing files is obscure or irrelevant compared to Adobe Acrobat. I've never used anything else except when I was forced to by a company or by a particular application's limitations (which is rare).

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

No

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

It's honestly the only easily available way to create secure and signable documents that can be verified. And it's also the standard way to export digital files—it does work really well to create those, and I'm happy to use it for that. I would be surprised to hear that anyone annotates PDFs heavily or uses that system, though, because it's clunky.
