Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

We use it a lot to provide content to prospective students in a format that looks good and is also easy to be open to. Also, since the PDFs can be locked down for the most part, we can provide some of the propriety content without worrying about people sharing the content. Also, we use PDFs for some digital-only sales of our materials, as some of the materials we sell are only digital.
  • Maintain Layout.
  • Works on Almost any platform.
  • Quick Loading.
  • Able to be secured.
  • The price per license for the pro version is pricey and its per month.
  • Some of the new pdf formats require a updated reader.
  • Team use of acrobat gets expensive.
  • Layout Quality.
  • Size of file.
  • Speed of downloading optimized pdf.
  • Ease of Use
Acrobat had to be easy to use and optimize PDFs. As many people at my work use the Adobe platform, Acrobat seemed the logical way to go.
  • Reduced errors when PDFs are used for proofing and notes directly attached to the PDFs.
  • Quicker turn around of changes to printer.
  • Easy smaller file size to send to customers.
Honestly in our line of work their improvements have not effected us much. One change with the stronger built in encryption of data is helpful, as before the security was not as strong and easily broken by third party applications.
We went with Acrobat since we use the suite from Adobe for the majority of people. We signed up other people with just an Acrobat license so that they could also read the PDFs and annotate. We found other programs had issues with the back and forth, especially cross-platform.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

If you plan on sharing a layout and want it to appear the same no matter what platform, then Acrobat is a good start. It's easy to use, and the free reader plugin (and most browsers also can read it) makes it quick for end users. If you need a cheap PDF creator, acrobat might not be the one as it's a monthly charge.
