Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

Beyond the need to read PDF files, we use Adobe Acrobat for the Sign capabilities to manage paperless workflow and security. Some have the ability to use the edit feature to open and edit existing PDF files. It has been a wonderful tool for workflow.
  • Document workflow for signatures and forwarding
  • Creates beautiful PDF documents
  • Allows editing of existing PDF files which saves staff time
  • The licensing is quite expensive limiting the number of people with access within our organization
  • Sometimes it is challenging to figure out what icons to click to enable editing of an existing document
  • Signature routing
  • Document editing
  • Document reading
  • Cloud Solutions
  • Ease of Use
We are already an Adobe Education client so it was easy to adopt the Acrobat Sign feature to facilitate electronic data workflow during the pandemic. It has carried on post-pandemic as a way to digitize our documents and provide security. Having the software in the cloud is a great solution to make it easily accessible for our staff.
  • This has helped us move our organization to a paperless work environment
  • The software has helped us secure important documents, which was a significant problem for us
  • Using electronic files has improved our efficiency with the use of workflow
It is very important for our organization to have secure files as we are an educational institution. We have FERPA, PII, HIPAA an PCI documents that need to be protected. We use Adobe Acrobat quite a bit for our HIPAA and PII documents, so knowing that they are secure is reassuring.
  • Foxit PDF Editor (FoxitPhantom)
I found this software to be very difficult to navigate. I really wanted to love it because it is less expensive compared to Adobe and is easier for our institution to license. Unfortunately, the learning curve was too steep to implement within our organization. I am usually the test case for software and if I think it is too difficult, our users will struggle with it.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

It is wonderful for our administrative staff to be able to route documents for signature and provide feedback if a document is 'stuck' in someone's inbox. It would be helpful if reminders could be sent if signatures have not. been provided. It is not really a word processor so it should not be used to create every document needed in the workplace.
