Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

We convert most of our documents into PDFs for any materials that are sent to a customer or potential customer. We do this to ensure version control and prevent unauthorized editing of the file without our permission. I think it's a pretty common use case.

Pros

  • Providing secure way to send information.
  • Going from Word document to PDF is very easy.
  • Being able to combine multiple documents into one.

Cons

  • I really think that the ability to edit a PDF should come with the free version.
  • Would be nice to have a built in signature tool like DocuSign.
  • Improved version control for documents.
  • Increased productivity.
  • Marketing benefits - sending professional-looking documents to prospects and customers.
  • Ease of Use
Ease of use is definitely the main one. I'm not even aware of the alternatives available. Adobe Acrobat is the gold standard that everyone uses.
We operate in an industry where security and compliance are crucial to our customers, so it is equally important to us. I think the impact is more on the sales and technical side, and as I'm in marketing, I'm not in a position to speak to the tangible benefits.
As I mentioned, I'm not aware of any solutions that compete with Adobe Acrobat. I feel like it's just understood that everyone uses Acrobat. Now I am somewhat interested in what other players are out there, but I associate PDF documents with Adobe Acrobat. Can't imagine that changing anytime soon.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

Like I mentioned before, it's perfect for sending documents out in a business situation when you don't want that document to be changed in any way, or you want a presentable version like a brochure. It locks in the formatting so that every person sees that document in the same exact way.
