Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC

1) Convert word document to protected pdf 2) Convert reporting dashboard to pdf and send it via attachment in an email. 3) Convert PowerPoint presentations to pdf before rolling them out to the organization. My job primarily revolves around converting the word document/Presentation into pdf before sending it so that no one can edit the content. I needed something which won't cost a penny yet can provide me enriched user experience.
  • Protection of content
  • Document quality especially images
  • Embedding of decorative fonts
  • Protection and control of document
  • Slightly complicated
  • If I recall right, no one time purchase option. You have to subscribe and keep paying
  • Steep Subscription
  • protection of content
  • conversion of documents to pdf
  • protection of the document
  • I would say that it improved the governance of documents. PDF passwords are impossible to crack hence I know my documents are secure.
I have a pet peeve about the application which has different user interfaces on different platforms. I use Adobe Acrobat on Windows, Mac, iPad, and iPhone. the user interface between Windows and Mac is slightly off and the moment I switch to a different device, the learning curve reappears for some time. It could be just me but I would really like it if the User Interface remains the same across platforms.
Almost everyone knows and agrees that the encryption on Adobe products is really secure. There are other products in the market with identical features but I guess all organizations unanimously would agree that Adobe beats all in terms of security. For an intellectual property document, you would definitely want some control over its usage. Adobe provides that kind of security hence a complete satisfaction to the end-user.

Suits well: If you have a daily usage of converting documents/creating pdfs. Less appropriate: Subscription price for individuals In my personal opinion, Adobe targets large organizations as their preferred customers. I would say to create a product specific to individuals or families with what they need in a low-cost subscription. Or else, have a price for all the functions and let the users create a customized plan for themselves.
