Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Captivate Prime

We use Adobe Captivate Prime for external user training. Contractors, sub contractors, and visitors to our facilities are required to complete several certifications before they are allowed entry. We utilize the self-registration process and learning plans to assign training based upon facility location. The training is also required for employees visiting from another facility.
  • Reasonable price
  • Creation of courses is quick and simple.
  • Inability to set up reoccurring classroom (ILT) training
  • Poor reporting options
  • Limited learning plan options
  • Limited ability to verify and track external certifications
  • Adobe ID (account creation and log in) process a serious drawback
  • Limited options for tracking additional user information during account creation
  • Reasonable price
  • Significant amount of time spent dealing with the intricacies of the Adobe ID
Adobe support is a maze to be navigated. The support from the reseller has been excellent.
Adobe Captivate Prime is a much simpler LMS than SumTotal, but with that comes limitations for customization.
For simple use cases, Adobe Captivate Prime may work well. The lack of customization makes it difficult to use in many situations. Bugs in the system take a long time to be fixed, some of these bugs in the past have been serious and it took months to get a fix in place.
