Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe Dreamweaver to develop survey requests for email delivery. The product addresses business problems such as ensuing that the content is appropriate for this use.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Real time preview of designs with split code view.
Easily preview designs in a number of browsers.
Code hinting.
Real time error detection.
Validation reports.

Cons

Connection to data sources could ne easier.
Accessibility validation
CSS changes not always reflected in live mode.

I rate it fairly highly for ease of use features. (I've not used Design mode much at all in the last few years, so I cannot comment on that), but points off for situations where using complex CSS causes a page to not render correctly right away.

It is is well suited to quickly building page frameworks, and less appropriate in situations using complex or not standard CSS, as it mat not render correctly right away. A double-check in another editor may be required.
