Overall Satisfaction with Allscripts Professional EHR

[It's being used for] EHR charting for an outpatient clinic. All clinics utilize Allscripts. We can order lab work, schedule patients, view all charting including resulting labs and order prescriptions electronically. In addition, it submits charges, allows for communication through tasking for any issues or needs you may have.
  • Electronic pharmaceutical ordering
  • Ordering and documenting lab work
  • Organizes data for easy reading
  • Cannot order supplies like breast pumps, abdominal binders etc
  • Printing ultrasound reports is difficult
  • Cannot open more than 1 prenatal record or you lose data
It was already in use when I was hired. I have mostly figured it out just messing around with it in my earlier spare time.

Charting, orders, and pharmaceutical orders are well suited. Not sure where it would not be effective.
