Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense

I use AlphaSense to explore trends in the market and my industry which helps to guide the research I'll write. I also use it to see what thought leaders in my own and other industries are saying about these trends so I can keep informed. The data we get from AlphaSense enables us to produce pertinent research which we know will be impactful for our readers.

  • AlphaSense makes it easy to find specific terms within a large document
  • AlphaSense makes it easy to learn and utilize Boolean search methodology
  • AlphaSense provides many different sources to explore

Cons

  • I'd like to see more synthesized reports for specific topic areas
  • More insight to conferences and inclusion of conference content
  • Higher research quality

AlphaSense is fairly easy to set up and begin using, especially with the help of their client success managers. Boolean can take some time to get used to however, again, the team is very helpful and they will also set up custom saved searches for your needs. I would like to be able to save articles to a personal library (maybe this is an option I just haven't found it yet)
AlphaSense helps us be more aware of developments in our competitive landscape through providing a curated view of press releases, though leadership and market news surrounding competitors. Having this information in 1 place makes it much easier to synthesize instead of trying to find this information on my own or through different sources.

AlphaSense is well-suited to get a read on specific technologies or topics. This can be done through a wide or narrow search and AlphaSense is good at allowing you to filter down to companies, keywords, and sources you want to see for specific searches. AlphaSense will not however, tell you what is trending in a specific market overall and does not produce synthesized trend/analyst reports themselves.
