Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense
Mostly for equity research reports.
Pros
- Filter by brokerage houses
- Search by company ticker
- Highlights relevant search terms on search results
Cons
- Daily report on keyword searches shows a lot of redundancy and irrelevancy
- Despite the filter by brokerage houses, the ability to look up by particular set of brokerage houses still takes some work
- There's a lot of data housed in the tool. Yet, it's not intuitive how best to use the info above and beyond just as an equity report repository.
- Access to equity reports is very useful for us
- Would like to have more market based info, commercial sales forecast, and market share info to reduce the need for other databases
Again, equity report access is the key. This makes up ~100% of my use of AlphaSense. In some way, this is a commodity service that other providers serve as well.
