Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense

The primary use cases for AlphaSense within my organization are to conduct secondary and primary market research and stay current on press releases from our clients, their competitors, and developments in their respective fields. The scope of our business lies in life sciences, primarily rare diseases.

Pros

  • Providing quick, validated answers to research questions.
  • Sending alerts for significant developments relevant to clients.
  • Excellent customer service & support team.

Cons

  • The regular search feature was tricky to use at points, but I'm very excited about the generative search!
  • Some of the alerts are a little too repetitive, but I think that's a thing I can control.
  • We're able to include better data and insights in our analyses.
  • The speed at which we can conduct research saves my team's time.
  • Company dashboards allow us to stay on top of the game and make us look great in front of our clients.
The generative search feature is incredible; this has already saved my team countless hours researching projects, proposals, and other engagements. The ability to locate sources and then save them in a spot like a notebook for future reference is convenient and not something available with other search engines that change their algorithms, and you might not be able to find that source again.
I have dashboards and relevant alerts set for each of my clients. These dashboards tell me about relevant research, transcripts, company documents, pipeline developments, competitor developments, etc. We use these to stay current on the latest happenings with our clients, whether receiving FDA approval, a PDUFA date, or a topline data readout from a competitor, to keep on top of our game and deliver the best possible solutions for them.

AlphaSense saves my team and me countless hours searching for relevant data points, details, etc., and I know I can trust their content and sources. The expert analyses are also excellent. The call transcripts from earnings reports with pro/con summaries are invaluable, and I make sure to read them to get a better sense of my client's high-level business goals so we can make them look good for their bosses, the board, shareholders, etc.
