Overall Satisfaction with Alteryx

We currently utilize Alteryx for these corporate functions.
1. SAS replacement for department ETL
2. automation of processes in finance and sales
3. upskilling analysts
4. feeding Snowflake using bulk loader.
It is also being used as a rules engine to enforce some compensation rules in sales. Finance, Sales, IT, Actuary, Operations, Tax are all utilizing Alteryx.

  • Data blending

Cons

  • time consuming to set up database connections
  • automation requires server or another product
  • time savings - automation of manual, repeatable tasks
  • allows departments to operate and create versus IT dedication
  • Alteryx driven dashboards provide business insights across many functions
Low or no code ability to create workflows, without python, R or SQL.
Very fast in loading millions of rows of data into Snowflake.
Workflows run much faster than MS Access or SAS.
Workflows are visual, enhancing the ability to document complex process workflows.
AI is coming to help with documentation and workflow build.
