Use Cases and Deployment Scope

in our business case we integrated the iot solution with the dynamodb, dynamodb db is being used to persist the data of iot based on the staions level , then lambda is being integrated with dynamodb and the request to the lambda is getting request from 3rd party gateway via to perform action on dynamodb.

Pros and Cons

very high response.
scaling is very impressive.
provide the 2 formats to store the data.

integration of multiple services
some udf should be provided on it
costing is little high.

Return on Investment

improves the customer experience as the reponse is fast.
if you have no SQL data then it is the best db to consider
creation of database and work with it is easy

Scalability

the points which is considered to be the issue while working with data base it resolves almost every thing as it is scalable, id data format is inconsistent then also we can store in dyanamo db , very fast in response , security features can be added to it.

Performance

as i have mentioned earlier it suits in all situation where scalability is considered, iot based data storage is required there also it is performing well. all the points for iot based solution or third party application integration all is possible with dynamo db.

Alternatives Considered

Azure Cosmos DB

cosmos user interface is not that much good in comparision with dynamodb also the response time compares with dynamodb is high.
