Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) offers identity management that ensures people with assigned roles can only access the data. Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) ensures availability of the workloads at all times and hence suited for production. It offers third party integrations also.

Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) offers higher storage for each database instance. I think Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) is easier to use and setup. Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) offers better migration capabilities.
