Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

I work as a consultant implementing Anaplan [for] customers. I come across a wide range of different problems and different industries. I have been implementing Anaplan [for] recruiting companies, consultants, Media house, ferry companies, E-commerce FMCG and more...

Pros

  • Consolidation.
  • Connects departments.
  • Create transparency.

Cons

  • Management reporting.
  • Design.
  • Adhoc structure.
  • We had 176 controllers do 3 scenarios in 3 days beginning of pandemic, no problem at all.
  • Open model in 30 seconds instead of excel sheet in 22 minutes with constant crashes.
  • Saved 15% on inventory costs.
For any complex company Anaplan is great! But it does not need to be complex, I have implemented several cases [where] the data collection has been an issue in itself and by letting the end user do the input a lot of time has been saved. This however is only a starting point if the implementation shall remain successful. Any company needs to continue develop and include more parts of the company.
