Anaplan is being used by the FP&A and Demand Planning teams for budgeting, forecasting, modeling and reporting. Having a primary data source that can be iterated upon several times by a different stakeholders for various business scenarios helps speedup the planning process. Anaplan provides the collaborative, flexible and secure workspace to update the financial business plans quickly to accommodate our rapidly changing environment, while addressing the data integrity issues. We replaced all Hyperion planning process and many homegrown & Excel based planning and modelling applications with Anaplan
- Multiple business users from world wide working on similar tasks simultaneously & collaboratively. No need for shared spreadsheets
- Collaboration & Connected Planning capabilities keep the models in sync
- Rapid development, deployment & enhancement capabilities attracts quick business adoption across the company
- Lack of native scheduling capabilities creates a dependence on / need for third party system, even for automatic data sync between Anaplan Models. Limited native integration capabilities also creates another need for a third party integration system
- Data Extraction & Reporting - Limited capabilities in Data Extraction & lack of Data Formatting and lack of Template Based Reporting frustrates business users
