Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

Anaplan is being used in Finance, other Divisions within Company, and other affiliated companies. Initially, it addressed our concern for Financial consolidation and planning. Later on, Company was able to maximize it to other existing processes and reports. Anaplan has been able to standardize various input schedules, which is one of the limitations of MS Excel. No one can change the line items unless allowed by access right; which makes it easier to the one responsible in the consolidation of reports.
  • Consolidation of Reports
  • Can be accessed anytime and anywhere provided with Internet
  • Easy to Implement to various processes and reports
  • Stable and Easy Data Integration in MS Excel
  • TimeStamp
  • More Functions and Flexibility in Dashboards
  • Ease in Implementation
  • Ease of Use and Maintenance
  • Can handle Complex Financial Consolidation, Budgets and Plans
  • Maximized in Various Financial [and few Non Financial] Processes
  • Maximized in Various Financial [and few Non Financial] Reports
  • SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation)
I was an admin also in SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation). But, I can say that it's somehow hard to implement. It is not as flexible as Anaplan. I am using Anaplan for years already. This is a game-changer i.e. for Finance people. We were able to easily implement it not only for planning and consolidation but also in various processes and reporting in our Finance and other companies.

Do you think Anaplan delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Anaplan's feature set?

Did Anaplan live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Anaplan go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Anaplan again?

Yes

Microsoft Excel, Tableau Desktop, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
Anaplan can be used and maximized for various processes and reports. I was able to implement it in Financial Consolidation, Intercompany Processes and Reports, Intercompany Matching, Financial Reports (SFP, SCI, CF, notes, aging, etc), Planning, and Long Range Planning (LRP). It is less appropriate (for now only) when the processes owners like to submit final reports in MS Excel. Admin Users still need to manually extract each report/source. But, I believe Anaplan has an initial test about it.
