Overall Satisfaction with Apptio Targetprocess
We use Apptio Targetprocess to manage our Agile portfolio, which comprises two agile release trains made up of approximately 30 teams. Apptio Targetprocess allows us to gain visibility and transparency, ensuring our business agility and the outcomes from these two agile release trains, spread across six value streams, can be managed, tracked, and delivered.
- Reporting - wide range of standard reports and the great ability to to do self service reports for anything you need with slice and dice and filtering at all levels
- Customisation is easy when you require it
- Easy of use for beginners - screen and view are well represented and easy to understand.
- Costing can be come onerouse when wanting to use it across ALL teams
- Roadmap views and functionality can be improved on to include more options
- Scenario planning and what is functionality is required
- Build in deeper AI functionality to assist with Agile specific scenarios
- Firstly visibility was crucial deliverable as you can only measure it if you see it
- Agility Health measures have increased by 25%
- Features cycle time which we vcanb clearly measure now across the ART has improved by 49% over the past 3 years
- Cleared and more effective and measurable PI Planning events
- PI Objectives achieved rate is now 80%+ vs 55% when we started
Target process is fully integrated to JIRA bi-directional which allows us huge flexibility of data between Target process and the 100 users that we have in JIRA. It has been a fundamental part of our Agiloe journey and growth and has helped us achieve high levels of maturity after four years. We implemented target process early in our agile journey after six months only, so we have grown with the tool and it has fundamentally assisted us in how we configure our portfolios, how we understand agile ways and methodology and allows us to be able to create our measures and our reports much faster. We can now measure everything, it allows us to understand what our pressure points are, our dependencies , our blockers and we how can improve on all of them. All of our current measurements from Flow time to objectives achieved to outcomes have increased multiple fold over the past 3.5 years.
