Overall Satisfaction with Arena

Arena is primarily being used by our entire company as a way to manage BOMs, parts, assemblies, and product sourcing. For us, it allows us to better track components and assemblies throughout the life of a project. It also allows us to manage our sourcing for purchased components.
  • BOM management
  • File legacy and revision management
  • Product sourcing
  • Costing
  • More streamlined copying of BOMs.
  • Improved linking of sourced components.
  • Improved new product development.
  • More streamlined project management.
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
I was not a part of the initial implementation of Arena.

Yes

We receive consistent updates and during my time using Arena we have not experienced any specific issues with the software.
Having used a couple different methods of BOM, Part No, and Sourcing/Costing management I can say with certainty that Arena is the most streamlined, user-friendly piece of software I have used in this area. In the time that I have been using it, there have been some clunky methods of doing things that have become better streamlined to improve the overall user experience, such as the ability to drag and drop files when uploading as opposed to clicking through multiple screens.
Arena has a much more user-friendly interface than Global Shop. I have also found through personal experience that Global Shop is clunky to use and Arena, by contrast, is a robust, lightweight solution that is easily accessed from anywhere in the world since it is a web browser-based.
Arena is amazingly well suited for BOM control/managemen and for part creation/part number generation.
I believe it could handle things like costing in a better manner.

Using Arena

I am unaware of whether or not we use Arena to support any regulatory efforts.
During this unprecedented time where we all find ourselves working from home, Arena with it's scribe integration has made it easy to keep teammates/coworkers updated with progress on BOM implementation and the release of new parts/drawings.
I am unsure as I was not around when we first implemented Arena.
Arena allows for a streamlined creation of parts, sourcing (ie. supplier/manufacturer parts), BOMs, and it allows multiple users an easy to understand interface for managing these parts as well as their revisions.
As far as I am aware, we have had a wonderful experience with Arena's customer success team.
