Overall Satisfaction with Articulate Studio
Articulate Studio is a training tool that engages users in interactive content. If a project is primarily just delivery of information, then Articulate Presenter is an excellent tool. When the purpose is to demonstrate that users understand ideas, Articulate Studio provides interesting ways to test their comprehension, and provide alternative content if a user does not pass.

- It has a higher learning curve than just presentation tools, primarily because it can do more. With more complexity, there are more things to learn. There are many things you can do without using advanced features.
- Would like to see higher definition options for presenting on an HD monitor.
- Occasional problems with publishing that require some time to resolve problems or find work-arounds.
- When I have a complex project, Articulate Studio is my go to solution.
- It pays for itself in the first project.
Adobe Captivate is the tool I prefer to deliver software tutorials. If a project requires interactive, or non-linear delivery, Articulate Studio has more tools, more options, and can deliver a better, more interesting project with less effort than Adobe Captivate.
Evaluating Articulate Studio and Competitors
Yes - Articulate Studio is a more powerful product than Adobe Captivate. It is my preferred tool, however I use Adobe Captivate when a project is a software tutorial. I also use Captivate when a client requires that specific tool.

Articulate provides a superior tool if I am creating a project from scratch. Past experience is very positive, the support team is very committed to finding solutions to your problems.
Both Adobe and Articulate provide trial versions of their tools. The best way to evaluate a product is to use it. It takes time, but gives me an understanding of what is easy to use, what is not, and how it best fits into my workflow.
