Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our firm uses Assembly Neos as its case management software. It helps with organizing, documenting communication, and monitoring deadlines. It also assists in calendar management. It's easy to use and helps that everyone in our firm has access no matter where they are located in the State. We also like that we can edit documents at the same time as others.

Usability

It is very user friendly. At first, when we switched, we thought it would be harder for those who had used our older system in the past. However, there was not much problem in the transition period. In fact, everyone adapted fairly well, and we did not have many complaints. Even our older employees transitioned easy.

Assembly Neos is integrated with our records program. It keeps track of all documents that have been requested. It's also best used for reporting. Anyone in our office can run a report and see how they are doing with cases and scheduling. We did modify our settlement with an outside programmer to track the status of those.

Products Replaced

Yes - Yes, Needles, our current case management system was replaced because Needles was outdated. We were having issues with Needles and because it was outdated, our office could no longer get updates and system bugs fixed. We had PINS before Needles but had Needles for over twenty plus years at our office before making the switch.

It was important to us that our employees would easily be able to navigate around. We have some employees that have been at our office for over 30-40 years. Some of our older generation seems to not like change. However, the ease of use and transition was not a problem. It was also important that we were compatible with our current programs.

Evaluation Lessons Learned

We spent a lot of time trying to decide between Litify, Filevine and Neos. In the long run, we can't compare ourselves to other offices because we have our system and our way of doing things that other offices do not. We just needed to focus on what our needs were and which program was cost-effective for our use.
