Overall Satisfaction with Assembly Neos

I am a paralegal in a midsize firm. We use Assembly Neos after transitioning from Needles. I thought Needles was more than enough...but I was wrong. Assembly Neos addresses anything and everything I need in a client database. Anything that I can think of that would help me be more efficient, I can find in Neos. I no longer have to stress about forgetting dealines, or even reminders because it is all there.

Pros

  • Keeping client and case information in a way that makes it all easy to locate.
  • Tracking hard and soft deadlines.
  • Allowing access from anywhere there is internet.

Cons

  • The calendar does not yet include personalization.
  • The reminder checklist cannot be color coded in a way that is helpful. There is a small oval with the color code, where it should color the entire entry.
  • In my position, the impact to me is strictly in terms of efficiency. I can handle at least double the case load because Assembly Neos keeps track of the deadlines for me and sends reminders.
  • Firm wide, I believe each of our paralegals have seen the same increase in productivity.
  • Because Assembly Neos tracks everything so well, and has room for all of the case information, my work life is so much less stressful. And because I can see that my coworkers are less stressed, I can say that Assembly Neos contributes to overall firm satisfaction.
For me personally, I found it easy to use. However, because it is so extensive in its abilities, for someone who has not used a similar program, there is a pretty good learning curve. Neos has an excellent training set up as as well as continuing eduction courses included with the cost of the program. Anyone who wants to learn how to use it to its full potential, absolutely can.

For any size law firm, Assembly Neos covers everything. Assembly Neos is specifically designed for law firms, and I cannot see a use for it outside of that. Assembly Neos syncs well with other apps, such as Outlook. If there is a better database out there for attorneys, I have not seen or heard of it. If you have a law firm, you owe it to yourself to at least see a demo.

I LOVE NEOS CLIENT SOFTWARE. I've been a paralegal for 30 years, and saw the technology go from hard files, to digital; and then from using Outlook and Excel to track everything to Needles, and then finally to Neos. I love Needles, but Neos is even better. It is the best client database I've used.

Evaluating Assembly Neos and Competitors

Yes - Our office was using Needles prior to upgrading to Neos. Needles was working great. Nevertheless, Neos being an online platform, looked like it would be better and serve our needs more effectively.
