Astra DB is used as the primary source of data operations at Edii. Provides a high scale solution for all the data needs and handles queries very well.

Pros

  • Makes migration from other platforms quite easy.
  • Documentation is very well written and easy to follow.
  • Maintenance of data becomes hassle free.

Cons

  • Some tools and APIs need optimization such as some of the Stargate APIs
  • Pricing can be on the lower side.
  • Connection with apache products other than spark.
  • Astra DB has a positive impact as it makes developing easy with stargate APIs.
  • Migrating data with rollback feature comes in handy.
  • Feature-packed service makes it the right choice for a boom in business.
The best part about the service is the documentation which makes performing a task easy for a developer. If you're new to cassandra or new to database, Astra DB has it all covered.
Automatically scaling on demand surely puts it at the top of the tier with the ease of working around the data.
Astra DB allows connection and integration with multiple tools and apache products, which gives it an edge against other products in the market.
