Overall Satisfaction with Automox

We were using WSUS, but found it unreliable and all but useless for remote users. We use Automox for patching across our estate, servers, and workstations.
  • Patches workstations wherever they are located.
  • Reports back on status of machines
  • Reports any problems with workstations
  • Patches Microsoft and quite a lot of 3rd party applications
  • Thus far it's been very reliable - we had an issue with reboots, but that seems to be resolved
  • Patching of servers and workstations wherever they are located
  • Reporting on patching status and problems
  • Integration with Rapid7 vulnerability management.
  • We now have a reliable patching solution and this has improved our security posture.
  • We can report back reliabley on whether patches have been applied
  • We can see the effect reflected in reducing vulnerability counts across our estate.
Was unable to locate and select WSUS, but that's what we were using for years and it never worked reliably. Automox works and we can see and confirm that it's working. It's a massive improvement and an excellent system. The ability to see patches being applied and to schedule patching for servers to minimize the impact upon productivity is a huge step up in capability.

Do you think Automox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Automox's feature set?

Yes

Did Automox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Automox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Automox again?

Yes

Excellent for managing patching of OS and applications across a highly mobile workforce. If you only have on-site users and have a working solution via WSUS/SCCM, then it may not be the solution for you, but more companies are adopting remote and hybrid working and it's great for that.
