Overall Satisfaction with Avanan

It helps us protect from spoof emails, malware, and phishing schemes in real-time. It is used by the entire organization. We were getting lots of spoofs and lots of wasteful phishing emails. We were getting lots of helpdesk tickets about all this spam that was coming in and needed a way to prevent it.

  • Catching phishing emails
  • Stopping malware
  • I would like a phone support option.
  • I would like better admin access security for the portal; it is limited right now.
  • Less contact with the helpdesk now, because users aren't getting emails that are malicious.
  • It saves time with having to scan computers for viruses when opening certain emails.
  • Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)
I was using the Microsoft ATP for over a year and it barely stopped anything. I had to create so many manual rules for it to work better. Avanan straight out of the box worked and worked well with very little interaction from me. It was set and go.
Support is pretty good. They resolve in a few hours. But there were a few a times that it was very urgent and I was hoping there was a phone option for that urgent matter. If it wasn't for that, I would have given this a "10." But support cases are never open more than a day, always quickly resolved or the appropriate answer is given.

If you want to keep spam/malware/phishing emails out of your inbox, this the product you need. I know it works well with Office 365 since they have an API built right in. In regards to other email platforms, I am not sure. Anyone that wants to protect users from those items, Avanan gives you peace of mind.
