Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use Avanan to map out client infrastructure to allow us to plan and monitor the network for changes, we use it to backup configuration of managed devices like Cisco and Fortinet etc.

Pros and Cons

Ability to filter from hundreds of device just to core devices
simple install and management from GUI
Granular Permission base
Single and multi tenant domains

The map is a little clunky that you can't highlight areas that you are interested in.

They sometimes take a long time to reply to emails or chat messages.

Usability

The system is very easy [to] use and simple to get along with.

Prior to using Avanan I had to manually map topology diagrams and would need to constantly go back and forth from time to time to make sure they were accurate but now the tool tells me if something has changed and allows monitor for offline assets.
