Overall Satisfaction with Avanan

Since we had a small BU with different domains, those working remotely with Covid in place and teams using various collaboration tools from different locations were a significant threat to us and the organization within. We thought of hosting these new emails on Avanan as it was helping us to stop threats even before they could hit the inboxes of these users. This turned out to be a great solution for us and the team. Also, the team is satisfied. The API-based ecosystem is robust and is backed by strong checkpoints within the security domain.

Pros

  • Protection from threats before reaching the inbox and protection from external threats
  • Regularly helps from phishing attacks
  • Helps to set up policies across domains on emails with granularity

Cons

  • They should introduce a mobile phone app that suffices the prevention from threats.
  • They still haven't implemented the ability to simply block by TLD extension.
  • UI/UX has room to improve and can be made more friendly.

Best suited for domains or hosts where you would want first-level filtration or prevention from hitting onto the email boxes and domains. All the protection against unknown addresses, phishing activities, and URL filtering is a good use case.

Oh, we had a downtime issue in our infrastructure and when we were about to go live, we encountered an issue upon which we raised the ticket and it was acknowledged and resolved within 15 minutes and 2 hours respectively saving us from a disaster happening again.
