Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR®
BambooHR is our primary HR tool in terms of employee time off requests, performance assessment and also recruitment and hiring tool. As C40 is a global organisation, this is crucial in ensuring information and management with regards to talent is manageable through a reliable and easy to use system. BambooHR offers us this flexibility in accessing information, as well as managing candidates during hiring - a process that is often collaborative in nature.
Pros
- Easy to use interface
- Multiple functions that cover standard employee management and recruitment
- Simple and straightforward performance assessment prompts
Cons
- For time off function, particularly with TOIL (time off in lieu) - it requires users to include a - sign in order for hours to be credited. This can be confusing!
- Performance management for staff - whilst it's great to have simple 2 questions prompt, it would be great if there is an additional field to allow for other notes to be included.
- In future, with AI and automation offering possibilities - it would be great to have simple summary of candidate eg. education, experience as part of candidate screening. This can be refined through keywords provided by hiring team, and can help as a high-level first pass screening.
- It has definitely helped me manage my team who is spreaded across 5 countries, so efficiency is for sure. I don't have hard numbers, but let's say I spend little amount of time having to deal with their leave applications etc because it's all on Bamboo.
- Performance management feature is also helpful. As mentioned for the mid year and annual review, the prompts are great to serve as points of entry to discuss with the team who are all working remotely!
- On recruitment, at the moment it is still a database of applicants but I like the feature of screening status - this helps us easily filter candidates based on status, which definitely speeds thing up.
I don't actually use BambooHR for reporting, as I am more on the user side. As a hiring manager using it occasionally, I can see how the reporting functions would be helpful on analytics etc.
