Old Reliable

We use Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT in tandem with Raiser's Edge NXT to process expenses, manage accounts, and support the entire financial back-end of our organization, including General Ledger integration between Raiser's Edge NXT and Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT when processing revenue. We have many integrated products like credit card processing, expense cards, and heavily use the Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT interface to allow all employees to manage their own invoices, expenses, etc.

Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT does help us maintain controls, divide processes, and mostly stay secure. After their last security breach and the associated press about the greater extent than may have been disclosed, we're wary in general about some of the documentation we store on their servers, but as for our processes to maintain our own integrity, Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT is helpful.

We don't use custom dashboards, however, all of our reporting comes from Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT and has been very robust. The board regularly reviews these numbers, however, to be digestible to a broad audience they have to be moved to another format.
